Wow these really sound like they will help! I've been preparing/researching the SAT for months and this is the first time I've heard these. I'm really sure these would help me. Thank You So Much!
@@tanoshikoonapareddy9605 Wow! I'm planning on writing it Nov. 2nd. Each time I do the practice test on college board, I score 940. I need 1400 as well. What about you?
Wow! That's nice, I'm planning on writing the test in November. I have done two practice test in blue book and I score 940 twice, I'm still trying to improve though, I need 1400 too. What about you?
For tip 9, is doing the hard math questions on module 2 really the best way? I ask because in the english module 2, we typically knock out the easier questions so we have time for the harder questions. Wouldn't it also make sense to knock out the easier questions on module 2 so we have more time for the harder questions?
Hey! So on English, it is hard to "guarantee" points due to the vocab questions.. etc. The tip is most applicable to people who feel that 90% of the math is straightforward aside from the last couple M2 questions. This is where tip 9 comes in. It helps with pacing so that you do not stall on the easy questions. However, if you are missing questions aside from the "hard" ones, then it is probably safer to spend the time on them. You get lose less points for missing a harder question after all! Looking back, it really is a double edged sword. Best of luck on your SAT!
Great tips! But I think that tip 9 is not applicable to everyone, as person can do all easy questions as fast as possible, then have around 20 minutes for harder ones. Nevertheless, I liked the video, thanks!
@@PrepworksEducation hi again! Today I had an exam and math module 2 was very hard. Although I knew how to solve questions, I had problems with time management. But, I believe that my score will be good and I wish that to everyone
Not sure about tip 9. I'd suggest finishing the easier questions first because since they wont require as much time + theyre guaranteed points. If you were to do the hard questions instead, the ones which you may or may not get right, the remaining time might not be enough to answer the easy questions confidently and you might end up making some silly mistakes
That is a fair point. For the vast majority of people this is probably the way to go. However, if you are someone who consistently only misses the hard questions, it’s worth changing up your strategy.
I wouldn’t recommend number 9… I’d rather get all the questions I know correct quickly then spend time on the hard ones… or else I might run out of time for the easy ones if I focus first on the hard ones….which would make me lose more points
My august score is 750 from math and blue book math score (790,800,800,800,790,800) If I don't have a problem with time in blue book and aug SAT math .... will the December exam be similar to this? my goal is 800
Hello there, if that works for you I would stick with it! Most people I’ve talked to run out of time on reading for reasons I talked about in the video - so I felt it was right to include it. I hope the other tips helped though!
Hi! Thanks for the informative video! I got 1460 (750 english; 710 math) on August sat and planning to retake it in October. I'm aiming for 1550+ for full ride scholarships. Could you give advice on how to get that score, especially on math. I run out of time in math module 2 for the last 4-5 questions. If given additional time I think I could solve those hard questions. Thanks in advance)
You can get 750+ math by missing those last 4-5 questions. I would hone in on the other parts and ensure you don’t make silly mistakes. Try a different pacing technique on math and learn to abuse desmos = saves time. Best of luck!
Hi buddy, can you help me out here ? I watch these videos but at times I need to ask a specific question which I can't because the creator doesn't respond fast or fail to respond. I have done the practice test twice and scored 940 on each try. Do you think I can reach 1400 if I write the test in November?
@@mariobridges-nf2zf That’s very unlikely, sorry. Did you do that practice tests without preparation, or did you score 940 after preparation? If you did that without preparation, then there might be some chance, but even then it's very slim. You can give it a try but sat score is really difficult to improve even after years of studying. I'm just saying you could apply test-optional to some universities. Or you could take the ACT if you can score high on that. I don't know much about you to recommend the best possible course of action, so these are just some suggestions to consider.
Do you have tips for those questions that are abstract in Math Module 2? I get the first 15 right and then the last 7 I get wrong since they are more abstract
Hey there, tip #2 sort of applies here. You can also try utilizing desmos to do regression, or even guess/check. I would focus heavily on quadratics + geometry problems for the harder M2 section!
Do you have any tips on how to not be lazy module 2? During the august SAT, I was so focused on module 1 on both reading and math but i slacked off in both module twos
Work through Module 1 at a leisurely pace - you have the time. Don’t burn unnecessary energy. The key is to then double check your answers to not make those silly mistakes.
I'm from Bangladesh. I don't know much about top-class-university application deadline. Can somebody fill me in with the information?( mostly, about the U.S universities) And I've taken my first demo SAT test on the bluebook app today( just to know where i'm starting from.) I got 1430 on that test. So, based on this how much time do i need to prepare myself fully for the SAT?
Hi, every university has different application deadlines. A quick google search can help you! Also, for your SAT score, it depends on your target score. Since you are at a 1430 right now, good consistent studying for ~2-3 weeks should be enough to bring you above 1500+!
I have done the test twice and score 940. Thanks for the tips, I'm aiming at 1400 in November. Do you think I can reach that with in just a month of study ? On my first trial, i score 430Eng. and 510Math. Practice 2, i score 450 Eng. And 490 math. 😢 Do you think I can score 750 + in each before October ends ?
Anything is possible. But with just a couple days, it would be a difficult task. Do your best and don’t stress so much because the SAT really is not that important. Compared to other college entrance exams, the SAT does not hold the same weight. Best of luck!
How is tip 9 useful? Arent the "harder" questions less penalizing to get wrong or not have enough time to solve them? So isnt securing time for easier-more-rewarding questions better than consuming the majority of your time on those time consuming hard questions?
Hi, it’s a different story for math. There is only 22 questions per Math module compared to English. So, the assumption is that if you are trying to score 770+, getting those last M2 math Qs correct helps a lot. However, for students who are not aiming for this kind of score, it does make sense to work at a different pace by starting on the easier questions.
@@PrepworksEducation oh thats probably why I cant go past 750 in math lol. So basically, I never tried this approach before and I never practiced solving in that specific way, should I do it for the first time in tomorrow’s trial or will it be risky to try it for the first time?
@@itztigerbtw5766 It would be too risky imo. I'd suggest you to time yourself hard, try to solve the first 15 questions in 15 minutes, in order to leave 20 minutes for the last 7qs
