Speaking of this movie, the significant events were occuring for roughly 15 minutes throughout the movie yet it was so interesting for me to watch, never get bored unlike I usually do while watching French movies in this genre. The Whispering Star is purely about human psychology.

Being gone for months to go back to the dorm alone and get swallowed up and burn out by homework. I also lived in a dorm alone during senior hogh but never like in college for months. I never understood the feelings of "homesickness" nor "leaving for college". I thought I'd never have it. Me and my parents have a typical Asian-child relationship, while less stern, we never say i love you, thank you, much less hug. But God. I'll miss them. I'll miss my hometown.
