Perfect dilucot honing video John👍🏼 That boat looks very similar to the first coticule I tried that my cousin Josh bought. I think I’m gonna purchase some of that optimum solution today. Thanks for sharing Brother!
@@RobertPascale Thank Robert. For me these LL coticules work best if I use a finer coticule or something like a WOA as a finisher. They are super fast.
@ yeah, I’m starting to notice the same thing the further I progress. Originally I was trying to get all 3 x 8 sizes. I didn’t realize the importance of having different size stones, but it’s becoming quite clear! Lol
Man I like that Les Lat, that sucker looks fast. As lucky as I have been acquiring stones, I have yet to locate a LL in a size I want. No lack of trying. Man John, I envy your stroke, smooth and quick. Well done sir.
@@Eric_TheCajunBlade Thanks Eric. 1stone has some new stock of LL stones now. They are a little small, but interesting. I have never seen a LL with a pink hue before.
After reading that description I was pumped, ready to follow you into battle! I would hone exactly how you would here, I don't think that's a coincidence we both get edges we're happy with. Beautiful stone, wish I had one just like this but I just got my first ever 8x2 vintage coticule. Happy new years!
@@seanstapelfeld I am in the same boat. My smooth shaves are just a figment of my imagination. Maybe I don't even have any wiskers to cut? The sticky hone gang have been after me for a while. They say only one in a 100 coticule are suitable for razors. Man, I must be a lucky guy;) I must have all the good ones.
Such a nice stone.
Thank you for sharing. Take care.
Lovely big bout ❤
Excellent technique! Like playing a musical instrument 👍

@@RobertPascale My favourite stone size is 70×130 mm. My favourite coticule vein is La Dressante. So, if you can find one, get one;)
@ I will definitely keep that in mind! I don’t have one of those. As always, thank you for the advice sir!
Happy New Year John! Beautiful stones, great honing video!

@ his shipping to US is over $50 to the US, but that would not stop me on the right stone. Just kinda small
@@Eric_TheCajunBlade Yes, i agree. You just need to have some patience;)
@@jpo31 I would have bought that #5 stone, but missed it
Hi JPO. This was a one stone hone right? Bevel set to finish. Ver nice and very quick. Greetings from Budapest. Happy new year
@@borbelyhaz321 Hi. Greetings from Norway. Happy new year.
This razor had an ok bevel. However, i would call it a one stone hone.

@ Im in the same boat, the more I grow my sample size with coticules the more I like them and the more good ones I get.
Happy New Year John. What are the differences between the two slurry stones?
