In a recent interview, Niall alluded to the fact the band knew for a year before it was announced there would be a hiatus. Honestly, who could blame them? It’s amazing they stayed grounded. A one time reunion would be great, but loving their solo efforts too.

If they will return back. Them need change some of rules. First be sure nobody will control them in interviews. Second not check their personal lives. Third give im place to be by their self. Four don't be negative about lgp community. And five new manger for bend.

Harry is finishing his tour this month and told that after this, he’ll have a break.
Niall is going on tour next year. Louis will also finish his tour this year…
All of this makes me think that they might reunite in 2025 when they’re all done with the solo tours. Fingers crossed!!

It's speculation but maybe it's better to leave things as is. Zayne left for a reason so coming back they would need to blend a bunch of music styles and allow each to shine. It would be great if they reunited for a new album or record if not a tour. But, in the meantime we will support them as solos. It's been a blast watching them grow, especially Harry, who IMO has grown up in the coolest way musically, emotionally, and mentally. His love and care for others is front and center and he never talks bad about another, especially his 1D bandmates. Class act.

They can't nor won't tour together, but may do a one night televised show. Be realistic. They have their own solo careers to focus on.

Why would they go back to work with Simon after their last interaction worked them to exhaustion. The guys are seasoned artists now who know better what to expect and can do it differently! I'm sure they are also fully aware and intentional that teasing a reunion keeps fueling interest for their solo projects as well!!! A reunion doesn't mean there will be NEW music. It means a reunion and that could happen at any time -- even 10-15 yrs. from now!

It will take many years and none of them are going to give up successful solo careers and even then Zayn will never return. He doesn't want to. The others have all said they are in when the time is right.

Simon Cowell did NOT put the band together, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger, and Simon Cowell put it together on a table using their pictures, and Niall was the first one picked, then they added Harry, then Louis, then Liam, then Zayne...the video of this is on you tube. One Direction will probably NOT get back together UNTIL Simon Cowell, AND Modest Management have no more contractual control of the name of the band, and ANYTHING to do with concerts, promotions, etc. ONCE Simon, and Modest Management no longer have ANY contractual control over the band "One Direction" in ANY way THEN, and ONLY THEN, they will get back together...I would say another 10 yrs around 2033 might be right....FROM WHAT I HAVE READ MODEST NO LONGER HAS ANY CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH LOUIS, HARRY, LIAM, ZAYNE, but DOES with NIALL..HE IS PROBABLY THE MAIN REASON THAT A REUNION HASN'T HAPPENED......IF, IF NIALL WERE TO DROP MODEST IT MIGHT HAPPEN>>>OTHERWISE I AM BETTING IT IS A NO GO.

I'm a Directioner, but I don't think 1D will comeback. And I don't really want that to happen. They are sooo much better off as solo artists. They are happy, and independent.

For me personally, IF THEY WERE to reunite then they would have done everything they all wanted to do on their solo careers.
