I disagree. If my memory serves me. Mr. Baylis won the only MotoGP race he ever entered. Mr. Edwards raced for years in MotoGP and never finished first.

A race can be won in all kinds of ways, years of factory rider is a different league. Troy did nothing outside of his win.

@@oldtimehockey7324 . Bayliss won in Valencia 06 Moto GP but back in 03 he spent a year on a Honda but as with most SBK riders who went to across to Moto GP, things didn't work. Doesn't take away from the great rider that he was, saying this and I was a Honda fan from Edwards,Vermeulen through to Toseland.
He is one of the few who started in SBK and went onto win in GP. Others like Doohan, Spies,Crutchlow,Vermeulen did that. Select group.
