      "Gethsemane" is my number one (Ian Gillian is good but Steve Balsamo is incredible) but I love the entire Jesus Christ Superstar. Neal Morse just released a prog rock opera "Jesus Christ The Exorcist" which is inspired by the musical. I love Donna Summer's version of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" - Madonna's version is too cold.

    The phantom of the opera is my favorite musical of all time . Think of me is my favorite song from the show , I just love how it sounds like a dreamy music box . My mom told me that I use to go into like a trance like state when ever she would put on the cassette tape ( yes I am gonna be 31) ! As a performer myself I have always dreamed of playing Christine I have dealt with a lot of pain form my past and have always sang since I was a little kid, except I don't have a disfigured Genius madman obsessing over me lol. I also really love Jesus Christ superstar . I don't know how to love him gets me every time I listen to it .

      kristen rock-I've never noticed that about Think Of Me before but now that you've mentioned it can I definitely see what you mean about it being like a tune for a music box, same with the song Masquerade. I’m not as huge of a fan of Phantom as many here. That said, I had to give you thumbs up for beautifully baring your soul in your comment. That’s what art does, it moves us! And many of the greatest works of art ever created were inspired by pain indeed! So I hope that you keep on channeling your pain through music, and share that gift with the world!

    • @billylin5404
      @billylin5404 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom. Yet I think the original cast Michael Crawford sang it more seamlessly.
      And if you remember near the end of the Phantom 25th Anniversary version when multiple singers were ending the Music of the Night, Ramin explicitly gestured to Michael Crawford as he sang "you alone can make our song take flight." I believe Ramin did that more than just being polite. Anyway, just sharing my thoughts. I certainly understand everybody has her or his own preference, and I am not here to start any argument.
