  • On the first week of January, we went to HongKong on a week long Vacation, we have been hearing from the news of some kind of SARS like Virus going around. SARS was a big thing in HongKong so we started seeing people wearing masks. We were a bit skeptical at the start and did not really think much of it. This HongKong trip was a break from the riots and protests so HongKong Tourism was greatly affected. We were able to get one of our favorite hotels at a big discount plus we thought that there was not a lot of people in the malls or restaurants which would make it a fun HK trip, different to all those times where people were side by side in most places.
We enjoyed our trip a lot since a lot of restaurants that used to have lines this time we could just walk in and eat
After about three weeks the Coronavirus scare was already building steam, it was all over the news and there were simple rules that needed to be followed. Until the day before our flight we were undecided whether we would push through with the trip. We thought it was Fukuoka, there was still not too many cases we heard from that place. We were really happy we took that trip since it would be so far the last for 2020 that no quarantine time would be needed once you enter another country. After another three weeks our whole country was put on one of the longest Lockdowns for almost 75 days. so far we still cannot fly out of our country and if we enter another country on official business we would need to quarantine for 14 days when we arrive there and another 14 days when we arrive back
