I've heard this song for many, many, many years, even decades. Even sang it in church with my mom and aunt but, never knew the Hoppers were the recording artists!!! Kim hadn't been with them long here, a couple years at the most as I believe 89 was when she and Dean married. Up until then she was with her brothers and sang as the Greene's. Loved her then too!!! "When I knelt, the blood fell" such a powerful song that Tim wrote and no one could ever sing it like Kim!! Her range is superb!!!
I thought he was saying "awww, sing that one more time son" and with him saying "son" and Dean singing it again, it makes me believe that's what he's saying.
