Thank you so much! The trick for public speaking is simply practice, like everything else. Starting in Grade 7, I took every opportunity I could to do public speaking and this is the result of that practice. If you're interested in public speaking, I suggest just putting yourself out there. You'll get recognition regardless of how good the speech is because most people don't have the confidence to do it :)

My approach to writing this speech was different from my typical approach. Valedictorian speeches are more personal and nostalgic. What I did was break it up into three sections. I had an introduction, I told the story of our entire school experience (this is the longest section), and then the conclusion where I looked back on the progress we made and what our future holds. A speech like this will take form as you write it- just enjoy the process. Thanks for watching!
