Not even a fan of Shenmue, but I shed a tear of joy from the reveal of the third installment from this conference. :')
Been waiting since I was a kid for shenmue 3 its will be epicness the meaning of epic!!!
Its been almost 19 years.... Lan-di is still loose in china... this game has a special place in many ppls hearts because of the great story and at the time this game was made it was ahead of its time
but what the heck was that count down ??

same here in Portugal....every time i watch i crie like my daughter :D!but yeah is amazing this story never goes off on my head! i can still remember when i'm playing on my parents( my father's) room! with my sega dreamcast conected to a sony trinitron matte grey! an amazing storyline, ultimate graphic at the time and amazing sharpness details! you can even read some thing on the boxes like the chips and the milk even on the fish food!!!! once again i can play this game for hours but on my 65 inch 4k tv with a ps4pro on my own room on my own bed! but still missing a lot my mother ( died on august 28th 2010 ), those times and the room very warm with the Christmas evening on the air......my godness i'm criyng right now again...i'm sorry for this all text! gona wait for that game no mather whats!!!!!!!! ;,-)

I remember a friend telling me I needed to watch PS4's E3 presentation. Knowing I was a hardcore Shenmue fan in the 90s, he didn't tell me why. We sat in a quiet office, and I literally jumped up like a giddy little kid and screamed at the top of my lungs. Haven't had excitement about a game like I did in that moment in over 15 years. Fingers crossed that it (a) get's done and (b) is just as good, if not better, than the previous installments.
Trey Vincent same with me, i was in my office when i accidently read the news and quickly search for the video. I was holding my tears and joy lol.

I've seen probably every reaction video and the audience at the conference is one of the top 5 best. This deserves more views - even the individual ones do.

This is the E3 that put them on a different level that Microsoft XBOX can never reach.
I mean, just a few hours later Xbox announced backward compatibility. I can play on the Xbox One X with the same savefile from 2005.
Nah they did that the year before when they kicked Microsoft's teeth in by announcing that PS4 was not always online required, game sharing was still possible, better hardware specs and $100 cheaper.

I see all those superficials comments from troll that havent even tried a Shenmue in their life and havent played this game: « ho you must be disappointed today… », how ridiculous they sound. So happy this game came to existence and it was incredible regarding the ressource Suzuki had in its possession. Hopefully, there is real gamers put there that can apreciate the works of that legend, and different artistic style that prevent the industry from getting only AAA games looking all the same (fps, gta, FIFA) and keep true masterpieces happening. Realistic Graphic and représentation is far from being everything in a game. Some people struggle to understand that.

Sony announced FF7 remake and this and litterly just kicked Microsoft arse and the rest in to touch that year, heck even god of war destroyed ms conference. MS really best have a great new selection of first party games for scorpio
And to think, years later we got the donkey shit that released.
For true shenmue fans (and true gamers too) this game was very good (not excellent, but a good game and a faithful sequel). Non-true gamers like yourself please abstain from judging and go play minecraft, CoD and the likes, pls.

You can buy them on ebay and play them on a DC. OR just emulate them. Emulaiton technically is gray area in the usa but check it out anyway

If you believe that, I would challenge you to attend an e3. I think you would be surprised.
Im 15 years old and shed I tear seeing this. I played the HD versions of Shenmue 1 and 2 and im fucking hyped to Shenmue 3. I know this game from my big brother and my cousins. Shenmue is in my opinion a legendary game, which always gives me goosebumps, listening to the songs. Especially the main theme.

This wasn't near as good as people are making out. It will be dull and boring. A small group of fans will love telling everyone how great it is but will be lame. The fact that no one would fund it for 14 years should tell you that the appeal is low. It will 100% disappoint and not be interesting to the mass market.

Every shenmue fan knows this game is not for the masses. Go play Call of duty, fifa and destiny 2. and remove that quake logo from your profile. you are not an old school player, dont kid your self.

You obviously don't understand how great this game is I played it on my Dreamcast and now playing Shenmue 1and 2 on my Xbox one the music is amazing the story is amazing maybe you cant handle a game that makes you think
Always wondered why the reacting was so high for this POS series that is super outdated. Its because it was a Pony event with Pony fans. It makes so much sense now!
