well technically wookies are "beasts" by definition. a beast is technically a non human animal that is aggressive and hurts other organisms. a bee for example is aggressive and can hurt other organisms so by definition it is a beast. but bees have an advanced gene in their brain that serves as a hyperintelligence molecule. this was a resort of a mutation that occurred in the nature of bees which allowed them to hive and communicate over long distances in groups. so bees are beasts but they consist of a type of hyperintelligence most animals don't have. so In technical definition wookies are just beasts with hyperintelligence. ta da.
