      Thank you, Laura 😁 Say, did you watch the Resolume training they have on their website? It's free, basic and can be good fundamentals. I can tell you that playing inside Resolume and clicking buttons, stacking effects, trying to do mistakes - this is the best way to learn imo. I spend a lot of time doing these things. I created a "Resolume Tutorials" Facebook group where I share the best tutorials I find online - join us )) Plus, a couple of days ago I went live and showed everyone how I created this exact look in After effects and the Element3d plugin, maybe this will serve you as an intro to creating content: th-cam.com/video/1bIRalILF0s/w-d-xo.html tell me if you have any further questions. VJing is the best form of Art that I know of. When the music is good and you ride it - getting into a flow state where your visuals fit it so well, when you can predict whats coming in the music and your show fits it so well - that's magic right there. Add to it that you are sharing your flow with so many viewers and contribute to the experience that they are going through... That's gold. 🤘👁️

      @fattylaura 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh thank you! I will check out those suggestions and I would like to know how to make content. I’ve been playing a bit Resolume but I’m a bit all over the place! You showed a good structured way of doing it, I draw a lot of patterns and want to try to animate these and then add my own videos but I can see keeping it simple and having a ‘motif’ or style helps! Yes I bet it’s amazing doing it live I would one day love to do it.

    • @STVinMotion
      @STVinMotion  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi 2v3crew! I played with many effects & parameter until I got to a look I liked, then, to keep the Tutorial short, I just gave you the final parameters. Regarding matching the colors, again, found a Color Palette that I liked and just played with the parameters until I found the tint values that matched these colors (0 to 100 are all the colors in the color wheel - so if you learn what color comes after another you can match to number roughly then nudge it to be more precise). 'Play around' is the motto I guess )) The only way to find new effect combinations and surprise yourself ;)

      at TC 1:22 I'm explaining about the DXV codec that contain Alpha channel transparency. Transparency is something that the creator of the clips should embed in the clip when rendering it. Try downloading free clips from our website and try mixing them www.stvinmotion.com/free

    • @STVinMotion
      @STVinMotion  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jonathan, in Media Encoder's Export Settings use - Format: QuickTime, Preset: Custom, then in the Video Tab use DXV 3 and its Codec Settings use "Normal Quality, with Alpha". Another important point is to set the Depth to '32 bit'. Tell me if it worked for you ;)

    • @STVinMotion
      @STVinMotion  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, happy it worked out for you )) If the visuals you are exporting are very detailed or fast you might wanna try and use the "High Quality, with Alpha" - a larger file but sometimes worth it. Of course, you don't need to go through the settings each time - You can save your custom preset by selecting the icon next to the "Preset" drop down - then "Choose Name". One can be DXV in Normal Quality w/ Alpha & another DXV in High Quality w/ Alpha. Happy Mixing!

    How do you create video clips with a built-in alpha channel? I make my own visuals so being able to do that would be a game changer!

    • @STVinMotion
      @STVinMotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the software you use, I use After effects and create the visuals on a transparent background. I then export them in DXV format using the preset of 'normal quality with Alpha'. What software are you creating your loops in and did you try to export DXV with alpha?

    • @AquilaVisions
      @AquilaVisions 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@STVinMotion I use Blender 3D. For some reason it won't let me export to DXV. maybe I'll take the png image sequence over to after effects and render to DXV from there. Thank you for your help and quick response!

    • @STVinMotion
      @STVinMotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AquilaVisions sure that's the best workflow, AE is the place to finalize the animation with color corrections, curves etc.- and make it stick out. P.s AE default frame rate for importing sequences is 30fps so be sure to change that if you are working on a different fps. Good luck! 🤞

Choose the parameter you'd like to animate, click on the small triangle next to it and choose Envelope. A graph that represents the animation will open. Right click on the end point to choose animation presets or click on the graph to add points, you can reposition them and choose specific animations by right-clicking.
