Hi everyone!
So more than anything this was just a really big experiment; I have no idea what Im doing and while I have looked up some music theory, all in all I don't know shit. ;v;
Ive been wanting to make original songs for a while now and I actually started this... over a month ago? And I figured, hey, Fukase's birthday is coming up, let's plan to release this on his birthday! ... Yeah!
Anyways I'll be the first to admit this is kind of a mess, the lyrics aren't very good, ect. But!! Hopefully in the future I'll get better! I've already learned a LOT with this and overall it was pretty fun to do!
But constructive criticism is definitely welcome haha; While i've accepted this as finished I'm not 100% happy with how it's come out, so any tips on things I should work on or focus on learning is accepted.

this is incredibily good i through it would've been another edgy song but, it really isn't
I think this is one of the best Fukase originals, nobody seems to know how to use him properly and in most originals he either screams or mumbles... In this original he's singing normally and I gotta say, the tuning is beautiful, he sounds natural and full of emotions, you said it would've been edgy but it isn't very edgy. "edgyness" is when you talk about something in a very dramatic or exagerated way, and put a shitton of blood and unnecessary things. that's what edgyness is. This video is a bit "edgy" but in a good way, and even if there is very lighy blood and just a bit of flashing images it isn't that exagerated like in most originals... That's what I appreciated the most.

for the criticism part, i have to say when it comes to lyrics and melody you did a real good job at giving it a nice rythmic and natural pace. if theres one thing many new vocaloid users mess up in originals, its having lyrics not fit the melody-- but you did it quite well! I know there was a bit of a chorus in there, but musically it doesnt sound very defining if you know what i mean? like a little extra something (instruments, melodies) could be added to "boost" it a little more, or make the shift between verse and chorus more obvious.
aside though, the instrumental and lyrics sounded very good for being a first song. the sound you chose were pleasing and fit a theme you presented quite well, and the lyrics dont feel very repetitive in an annoying way, and keep me interested all the way through with the sort of emotion it holds. its vague, but your word choice and way of describing the feelings keeps me listening.
lastly your art and video are fantastic! it wasnt overdone but i wasnt bored while watching the "intro" which happens quite often for me, as id rather not just stare at a blank video until the words start.
I'll try to release the instrumental and a vsqx sometime tomorrow if I can find the time for it!
I'll admit I did have a bit of a hard time trying to define the chorus; I did originally try to add more instruments and melodies to it but it ended up sounding cluttered so I toned it back down and settled with 1 extra synth and a volume boost. Next time I'll try to work more on making it stand out!

and tbh i do feel ya on that, i have that issue with my own songs as well. like, i tend to listen to a lot of music to give myself some examples, but its not easy to recreate. however, one thing i kinda did recently was download midis of songs-- like pop songs or rock songs, and being able to look at full midis of other people's songs kinda gave me a good example of how choruses look musically?? dont know if itll help you but i wanted to mention it anyways!

So...this song is really underrated and well done? The tune is catchy, the Vocaloid tuning is really good and emotive...
I have one theory about the story this song is telling, it's probably wrong but:
It's about someone who was in an abusive relationship with someone who was both manipulative and a frequent liar - pinning all the blame on their partner and deceiving the people around them. The 'static' is the lies their partner told - none of them different from each other, some of them not even achieving any purpose - but either way our singer can't quite keep track of what's the lie and what's reality.
But...
As the relationship continued, it became a reflex, a habit for our singer to lie to their partner about things they'd done wrong or even just what they'd gotten up to that day, purely so they didn't have to deal with the fallout. The lies started covering up smaller and more insignificant things, and again our singer finds it hard to keep track of what's a lie and what's reality. Perhaps they weren't just lying to their partner - the habitual lying extended to their friends too.
Even after they and their partner separated, he couldn't break the habit - the ghost would still haunt him. Perhaps their ex-partner was in a place he couldn't escape from - his circle of friends, or his class at school.
Long after, the singer slowly gets rid of the "static", and gets a better grip on reality, but while he goes through this process, the apathy he felt towards his partner turns to hatred. What happens next isn't that clear, but it's implied the singer then took revenge by injuring or even killing their ex-partner, believing that was the only way they could be truly free.
But who was in the right, in the end? No-one finds out - it's GAME OVER for one of them before they could.

I love this!! It's so instrumentally interesting and you tuned Fukase so well without having him go out of range (pretty difficult...). English is also spot on!
I like the beginning how it zooms out from TV and pans (like it shows a view is what im trying to say) up Fukase. It's entertaining unlike most intros to Vocaloid somgs just a black screen with the producer Vocaloid and video editor. Also, 4:26 "no *Point* " I see what you did there Hehehe
