- I was thrilled to find a haunting Scottish melody that was created for the movie "Braveheart." This wonderful movie created and starring Mel Gibson was all about the late 13th century Scottish warrior, William Wallace. This brave Scottish hero led the Scots in the first war of independence against King Edward of England. This beautiful melody from the movie is called, "A Gift of the Thistle" by Julian Lloyd Webber, artist - Ronald Lowe.
Sending my love to Scotland and to all the Scottish people who endured so much heartbreak during their war for independence. Many Thanks to the Outlander cast & crew and to all the wonderful people who make this story come to life. A special Thank you to Diana Gabaldon for writing this wonderful story, without her there would be no Outlander.

So soothing and truly touching. What a beautiful display of their talents. This video shares the beauty they share together. How each one brings out the love for each other. They have chemistry together and it is displayed all the time. Cannot see them apart at any time. They will always bring each other joy,happiness,and foreverness.

Yes there are other people out her that have watched the show over and over because we can't get enough of this show there in my opinion have not been very many shows that I could watch it 30 plus times in two years and I really enjoy watching Sandra's videos I keep looking for them not sure if I have watched them all

Oh Sandra! Every time I watch your new one,I think this is the best. But I am wrong, they keep getting better. I cried throughout the whole video. Absolutely beautiful ! I never watched Outlander until last summer. I was looking for something to watch on Netflix. The first three seasons are on Netflix. I got hooked. Had to get STARZ to watch the other seasons. Hi Patty, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I'm use to working non-stop, even on my own time to get something done. So, I worked non- stop and took an extra day to make this video and then it was to long and I had to cut 5 minutes off. I'm also a die-hard fan of Outlander and I watched 3 seasons on Netflix then purchased Starz, so I could watch the rest of the seasons. Being stuck at home unemployed, I watch every episode over and over again. I usually tire of watching the same thing, but, Outlander's different. I really feel like the stories are so good, why not watch them again.
Yes! I'm on my third time watching them. I've never loved any series like I do these. I'm even reading the books. And the writer has Novellas, that tell short sequences of things we don't see in the shows. 💕

Beautiful scenes from the series. It's a pity that such a cool hero Jamie had to suffer so much. They both had a lot of courage.
Hi Aneta, I know it's really hard to look at those scenes where Jamie is tortured and flogged, but, I thought it was important to also show how brave the Scottish were during their fight for independence from England, and how brave Jamie and Claire were to withstand such agony. I thought the bravery of Jamie and Claire needed to be shown along with their love story, because it is an intricate part of their love story. All Jamie wanted was a normal life and to take his bride home to Lallybroch after he was married, but, a normal life was the last thing he would ever have. During that time it was impossible for a young Scotsman to flourish, instead they were forced to fight and die in a horrible war, and lose everything they loved. That included, their family, their home and their country.

Bonjour Marie, Quand Jamie et Claire ont du se quitter aux pierres pour le bien de leur enfant, nous avons tous pleure' 1 000 larmes. C'etait un si bel exemple d'amour pour leur enfant et pour l'autre. J'ai toujours cru que ce genre de sacrifice se produisait dans la vraie vie et a quel point c'etait merveilleux pour Diana Gabaldon de montrer le beau cote de la nature humaine dans la vie de Jamie et Claire. Merci beaucoup d'avoir regarde'.

I wonder why they never had Claire tell Frank how much he look like his ancestor and how evil that ancestor was.
I have always wondered if the reason Claire and Jamie are together is because she was married to Frank and his evil ancestor flogged Jamie twice and caused his father's death before Jamie had ever met Claire. So, Frank in 1945 has to make reparations by losing his wife to Jamie, the innocent young man his ancestor had wronged. For a Buddhist, what happened to Frank would be a result of Karma.
Jonathan Wolverton Randall, known as Black Jack, is NOT thế real ancestor of Frank. It is Alex Randall, thế young er Brother of Jonathan who is the real great-great-great-grandfather. Mary Hawkins, his fiancée, was prégnant when hé die. . Jonathan Randall kẹpt his promiss given to his young er brother and married Mary just 2 days before Culloden.
Actually she told him about his ancestor. They just didn't show us that part. I wish they showed that conversation. In one of his letters frank wrote that his ancestors were not what he thought about them. But did they tell Jamie that his ex husband looks like that man?

I’m curious about Frank’s thoughts on finding this fact out and how that affects his views of history being a history professor. That being said, having worked for the Duke of Sandringham isn’t a minor detail about Alex Randall’s life. Frank is more like Alex than Black Jack.
@@raoullevan6550 Black Jack isn't from the direct lineage of Frank, but, he is still his ancestor. I'm not a Buddhist, so I'm not quite sure how Karma works. But, it does appear that Frank is paying the price for what Black Jack did to Jamie. Claire loved Frank until she met Jamie.

Hi Kimber, It dawned on me that Braveheart was also about Scottish independence from England and the two soundtracks could compliment each other beautifully. Bear McCreary has done a wonderful job of orchestrating the perfect music for Outlander. I would love to see Ronald Lowe and Julian Lloyd Webber collaborate with Bear McCreary and see what they would come up with.

Hi Barb, Thank you for watching. The Jamie & Claire love story is so haunting and beautiful and extremely emotional because they go through so many turbulent periods during their life together. They fall deeply in love, then their separated by time for 20 years, then reunited with stil major problems that seem to always surround them. It is emotionally draining, but, we're all hooked on this love story because of all those experiences that have fulfilled their life.

I can’t believe I just found this series just before the pandemic. I have watched so many times I have lost count. This song fits a love that is so strong it is felt with a passion in your soul but for some reason things happen and its always in the way of happiness... Pain, tears and more pain caused by loving so much. Sometimes 2 people love eachother so much yet they are better apart because they only bring out the worst in the other and no matter how much they try to make it work everyone sees how eachone hurts themselves by loving the other its like life gets in the way so it becomes a war against life... A battle against your own judgement because u want it so bad. Yet dont know how... And if u do know how somehow its impossible because u can only do or change so much. Maybe I'm a masoquist for staying after everything .... its like u cant live with them yet u cant live without them... That pain is unbearable.. Never thought I'd know it all to well but I do. 💔 Oh God help us..
Hi Elijah. I know very well what your talking about. I loved my husband but he was impossible to live with because we were so different. Opposites attract each other. I think that happens because we are both meant to learn from the other person how the other side of life feels and thinks, so we can grow and understand what is alien to us, what is the opposite of us. I learned a great deal from him, about myself and what I believe in as opposed to what he believed in. Real love doesn't try to change a person but loves them and accepts them the way they are. That's how God's love is, unconditional.

Thank you Cathy, Outlander has me hooked on the love story going on between Jamie & Claire. They really are both brave souls to go through all the turmoil they have and still be deeply in love. The character of Jamie is such an exceptional man. Claire is a typical 20th / 21st century woman, totally liberated. It's amazing that Jamie loves her so much that he adjusts to her free spirit and liberal way of thinking.

My Word, Another Beautiful Mini Movie 🎥 Aptly titled for our Two Brave-hearted Characters, Jamie and Claire, with a Wonderful Overall Coverage of some Major Event’s in their rather turbulent lives, Such a Haunting theme running along side, just perfect 👌 it’s a Mega ‘Hit’ Jersey Girl. I can relate to Claire’s Drowning Scene, as I was saved from the same Fate, by an Amazingly Brave Young man, I was 15, he would be about 18, He just dived right into a very rough sea, without a thought for himself, just as I gave in to fatigue! and the rest is history! I eventually found him again this year, after Searching for over 60yrs. I am beginning to believe in Fate! Thank You 🙏 Jersey Girl, from your English Rose 🥀

My Story of my ordeal at Sea is only a fraction of the actual event’s leading to and beyond that Traumatic Experience, it would take far to long to go into detail, You remember me saying I wrote stories for a Magazine, That was the start of it all, and the way it played out was just incredible, it hasn’t had the conclusion I had hoped for, as My ‘Knight’ in Shining Armour wished to remain anonymous, but at least I have a most Wonderful letter from him and his wife of forty years, who knew nothing of this, until he told her the same week as I decided to run my article in a magazine she just happened to come across by chance!! Jersey Girl, I did warn you , it’s a long story, I was holidaying at the time of my plight! And was trying to reach a friend that was playing beach ball with some boys, what i didn’t realise they where on a sand bank, as I started to wade out I also didn’t realise how rough the sea was, the next minute I was caught in what is the term for when the tide turns, is it a rip tide! I was dragged out to sea for what felt like ages, then suddenly I was coming back in again, I was unaware that beach was notorious for having up to About 20ft deep channels now filled with raging sea water 💦 I went down several times, and was about to succumb to oblivion when as you say My Guardian Angel 👼 appeared in the form of this amazing young man, who apparently was caught in the same way, but he was a lot stronger swimmer than I was, or, I wouldn’t be here now, To be Continued, Will wait for you to reply Jersey Girl , By for now, Take Care, 🥀.
@@bernicebest Hi English Rose, It sounds like your life has been filled with amazing adventures and tragic experiences that are somehow turned to good, a lot like Jamie & Claire's life. For sure this man is one of your guardian angels. Fate placed him in the water along side you so he was able to save your life. I can't wait to hear the rest of this story. Fate intervenes in many people's lives but, usually we are not aware of it happening. This episode of your life has very clearly been handled and adjusted by fate, or in other words, by the will of God. I said , you were very blessed, may those blessings always continue.

Thank you Kathy. I love the music from Braveheart and could see it working beautifully with Jamie & Claire's story. It has that authentic Scottish melody that made Braveheart so memorable. Jamie & Claire were always so brave and loyal to eachother. They fought to keep their love alive and to save eachother constantly from harm. The music from Braveheart is also apart of their brave spirits that fought to save their love and their lives.

Hi Blue, It sounded like Frank didn't want to hear about Jamie, He was to jealous and said he wasn't going to share her with anyone. Jamie had the opposite reaction, he was willing to give her up to keep her and the baby safe. Frank lost at love because of his jealousy.

Let's hope the next season will start sometime this year and not in 2021. I'm always listening to music, but when I heard this Braveheart song, I was so excited because of it's scottish quality and feel. I think the videos being made right now need a bit more Scottish music to really bring Jamie & Claire's love story to life.

Braveheart - another Scottish movie by Mel Gibson - which was such a beautiful love story in its own right. This is the music from that movie.
Hi Margaret, don't you just love this song, it is a Scottish treasure, like the series, "Outlander" and the love story of Claire & Jamie are all Scottish treasures.
Brave heart was an Oscar winner for best picture. Outlander is no doubt the greatest love story on screen I've ever seen.
@@margaretpetrovich5543 Hi Margaret, I can't understand why Outlander isn't winning emmys for it's portrayal of Scottish history. And the tremendously talented acting of Sam and Caitriona and all the cast members are excellent. The direction is perfect and the scenery and costumes are all magnificent. Most importantly, Outlander is teaching us all how much the Scottish people suffered from the brutal rule of the English. That's why I send Love to Scotland and the Scottish people every time I make a video.
