they have been together for a couple of years, until 2006. They were very young and sweet,now they are great friends.There are videos and pictures around the web. They are big friends :)
I have to say THIS is how I see figure skating where the jumps are accents to the performance and NOT the whole show. Stephane and Carolina are the embodiment of the sport. Stephane is peerless and Carolina reminds me of Peggy Fleming (yes, I am that old).
I like Lambiel a lot too but - omg - Carolina's an ice dancer!! Clearly she's had ice dance training. It took him a while to really find that groove, while this makes me wish she'd actually gone that route. It brings out totally different skills in her - both skating skills and her ability to eventually loosen him up. Lovely!!!
although these two beautiful skaters make such a charming couple with wonderful chemistry, however I see a little problem though... traditionally in ice dancing, male skaters are supposed to present and compliment the female skaters, but the brilliance of Stèphane will stand out too much!

ヴェローナで、ランビエールとコストナーがロメオとジュリエットを演じる！ 何と贅沢な！！ まさにオペラかバレエのデュエットのシーンを観ているよう。アレーナからもそう遠くない、ジュリエットの家のバルコニーの下で二人が踊っているかのようだ。 こればっかりは、いくら傑出したスケート技術があっても、羽生選手と浅田選手が演じても、こういう雰囲気は、そう簡単には出せない。 特にランビエール。《ロメオとジュリエット》《椿姫》《ウィリアム・テル》……ランビエールの演じるオペラの名曲は、どれも、オペラの舞台から、というよりは、欧州の街角から抜け出てきたかのように、いかにも欧州らしい香りがするのはなぜだろう？ 羽生選手の方が、ジャンプやスピンも正確でシャープに美しく決めるし、表現も繊細なのだが、この点に関しては、彼はランビエールには敵わない。尤も、欧州の選手が、皆、ランビエールのようにオペラの様式感を的確に把握しているわけでは、決してない。
