@@mythcommunication3220 The wn is not canon man. In the ln tho season 2 will cover the skipped content of volume 4 of the lightnovel as well as volume 5 and 6. There is a slight chance they might cover chapter 1 of volume 7 to leave us on a cliffhanger.

@@bigjoe1641 the anime does actually follows the arcs of the web novel timing wise anyways, season 1 covered arcs 1,2 and we see basically the end of the third one the Royal City arc, and the one that follows is the Birth of the Demon Lord Arc witch season 2 is beginning with, but not right away we still have some peace left before Rimuru stops smiling
@@denfire5063 the first few arcs of the wn are similar to the ln and anime. I will admit that. But literally after arc 2 or maybe on arc 2 itself it diverges quickly. For example Rimuru never met Karion till the Demon Lord meeting and Charybdis wasn't a thing at all in the wn. If you are caught up to the wn you will also notice that stories that were put in the wn are no longer a thing. There are even bigger differnces later on. I am talking like maybe some characters not being a thing anymore and the literal progression of the story is different. I am not gonna really go deep into it because I don't want to spoil anime only's for season 2. But anyway hopefully you do get the big differences between the wn and ln and don't think the anime is following the wn. This is a common mistake within the slime community where people think the anime is following the wn just because they start similarly. In actuality they are following the light novel NOT the wn.

A massacre scene. In Overlord 3, Ainz kills an army of 70000 humans, but it doesnt seem so threatening, they all just went to sleep with his spell. I wont tell you how much Rimuru kills in this season but its well more painful to them. On other hand, since Slime anime has got a light-colored-peaceful tone, i doubt if it will show dark tone about the killing.
