Really loved this episode. This is the first place we’ve gotten to see Venus on a big platform since Drag Race in a positive light, and it’s been needed for far too long.

the way she talks about her craft, you dont pursue this line of work and what she does without passion. and she was kind here to admit she had no spite towards shangela herself or anything she's done but she in so many words did imply it was bizarre to intentionally cast someone so green when the show is advertised as a competition for experienced drag queens and a not school for girls. i actually wanted to hear her inner thoughts on what she thought the outcome or the stunt was going to be regarding that first lipsync. like if she thought shangela was brought back solely to be axed off first again for shock value or as disposable fodder, or maybe she thought no way she (venus) was winning bc they wouldnt have brought shangela all the way back and have her go through a second drag wardrobe just to cut her short (again). you go in defeated and accepting loss already because you know there's plot armor and you're the throwaway queen

Another fantastic interview! I’ve been a Venus fan since season 3. I would love to see her on an “early outs all star” season of drag race. We really need to remember just because a queen doesn’t do great on tv doesn’t mean they aren’t a great queen. Venus is a great example of that!
