In case of enabling FM on a collpits oscillator, where would the varactor be placed? SInce there is no clear DC ground because of all the capacitors, I am having a hard time, figuring this out
I have a question. Why (especially RF transistors) don't want to oscillate where some other transistors like 2n2222 have no problem with that. Is it because of capacitance difference or bias (which should be similar right?). I have tested many different transistor and they bevahe exactly almost always like that, RF transistors don't oscillate when I want to build for example a Colpitts oscillator or use them for a regenerative receiver etc. They are new and original and I tested many of them.
I simulate colpitts osc. I filled all components value like your video. I got sine wave. But the center of amplitude did not at 0. Max value at 3v and low value at -1v
Excellent content! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for your clear explanation.. not only this video I've been following this series , it is so good.
We still don't know why there are using Hartley oscillator on AM band versus a Colpitt configuration? And L2 is always part on L1... why?

You are an awesome teacher!
Good vid! I'm trying to learn transceiver components, appreciate your videos
Great video!
which values would u choose for the final design?
for 50MHz colpitts oscillitor design what wil be the value of capacitors and inductor

They used to call it a varicap
