No one likes going through storms, but one of the things that helps me persevere when I'm going through a storm is knowing there's a purpose in it. If God permits something, He's got a purpose in it - and that includes storms. One way God has saved me through storms He has allowed me to go through is by humbling me. I feel like He's often used storms I've gone through to reveal areas of pride I didn't know were in my heart and to make me dependent on Him. Not a fun or easy process, but such beautiful fruit always comes through it. 🙏🏼
I'd love to hear from you...how has God used storms in your life?
Had a pregnancy termination, which i was pressured into, wasnt my choice. I locked it away in the back of my head. Sixteen years later, i had a trigger which led to PTSD symptoms. I came out of a heavy counselling session one day, i was crying. Couldnt cope. Went straight to the local church, really old building. I got down on my knees. Was in there on my own. Was crying so hard, felt like i was in a dark pit, sort of crying. Dont know how else to explain it. I just kept saying, im so sorry, im so sorry. Then i heard an audible voice, so close to my right ear, he said, 'Get up, my child, your sins are forgiven.' God healed me from PTSD. Right then. My counsellor discharged me after seeing me and seeing that i didnt need to see her anymore. God has been a massive part of my life since. The fact that he healed me, comes up in conversation and my situation/testimony is used to help others. God forgives and he is amazing!
God has used so many storms in my 60 years of life even the first 23 years before I became a Christian. My car was hit by a train when I was 18 and I was not harmed, struck by lightening when I was 39. Lost relationship with my oldest daughter and currently still in this storm. I have 5 children all raised in church and have always struggled with money. I would like to continue to follow you Kaci. You have so much wisdom and insight especially for a lady so young. Kaci this spoke to me so much in my circumstance. That opening where you talked about if it was smooth sailing, it wouldn’t lead us to the life. We think it would, it would lead us to destruction, is so true for me. Thank you for putting it into words.
Im 71, single, and my Landlord has been sexually harassing me, & 6 other single woman living in this same mobilehome park. I decided after 9 yrs thats I've had enough. I filed charges and so did all the other ladies. Now he raised my rent from $500 a mo, to $900 a month. I live on SSI and not able to pay that. I was offered a camper 2 miles down the road for 250 a mo. by a sweet christian & I took it. God is so good. I was not anxious at all. I knew that God would orchestrate some way for me to be ok. HE is so good like that. I am blessed and my cup runneth over. Im so grateful. 'Be anxious for nothing.'

Thank you for your vulnerability! It's so true - I feel like He's used those seasons for me too to grow me in financial wisdom and I realized in hindsight it was ultimately His kindness. If He just gave me "more" but didn't teach me how to manage it, then it wouldn't actually benefit me. He gives us what's actually going to help us, because He's so good! 🤍

My storm is that I have been out of work for 3 months and it is making me feel really depressed. I recently got an email about being on a hiring list and that they are waiting to place me, but I need work like yesterday. I do know that my identity is not in my job, but in the Lord as I was created in his image and he is my provider. I just have bills and other things that I need to take care of. Even though it is very tough, I am still going to choose to trust the Lord. I also dont want to rush what the Lord has for me in this season but it is totally, and very hard. Keep me in prayer ❤.
My storm has been this entire summer, it's really been a nightmare. From relationship issues, a mental health diagnosis, financial hardship that cost thousands of dollars I didn't have, my dog having a severe injury, to most recently the unexpected loss of my grandmother it has been a really tough time. I am in recovery from drug addiction and have been clean from drugs and following Jesus for several years now. When all these things began piling up thankfully God didn't let me go all the way back to my bottom but I did start using alcohol too often and as a way to numb my feelings. He drew me back, allowed me to stop drinking and plug back into the recovery community, and get closer to Him and depend on Him for strength. A lot of things are still very challenging but I can see a purpose in some of it. And I an also happy to say - my puppy did make a recovery. I'm a better mom trusting Jesus and my life is in his hands

Thank you for sharing your insights Kaci!! I went through a bad friendship breakup last winter that almost felt designed to bring up some of my worst insecurities and mental issues. Looking back, I see that was God’s hand…not that He *made* it happen (there were very human feelings and mistakes at play), but he *used* it in ways I’m still very much learning from. Forgiveness, discernment, trusting Him most of all…it’s all a journey with triumphs AND stumbles, but I hold onto the truth that I am not alone in it 🙂
This is SO powerful, thanks for sharing! Friendship breakups are so sooo hard...but you're right - God always uses relationship difficulties to refine us in such powerful ways. I'm so glad He's beginning to show you more and more of His purposes in what He allowed you to walk through 🙏🏼
Thank you so much, I really needed this. God gave me the book of Isaiah 54. On verse 7 it says “ For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I bring you back”.
I’ve been working so hard for years trying to build something for myself but everything just didn’t work out.
This serves as another confirmation for me that God brought the storm to reposition me.
This hit home…
Sometimes we don’t understand God’s will in the beginning but I’m trusting that in the end everything will work out for my good.
God has led me to take a new job recently where my skills will be have a massive impact, but it’s going to be incredibly challenging.
Once the challenges stabilize, God uses it for the next step in your journey. I’ve found this to be true of my journey. Training us up along the way step by step.
God created the perfect storm in my life and it has helped to purify what’s in my heart. I am grateful 🙏🏽.
i’ve been dealing with health issues and i believe these health issues come about from my sin because every time i’ve fallen into sin, these health problems attack, i’m dealing with another one right now after falling into lust and i believe God is using this to shape me and help me grow deeper in Him. Please pray for me brothers and sisters to be obedient to the Lord and to grow stronger faith never returning back to my old ways 💕🙏🏽

You're not alone, I have the same thing w lust all the physical symptoms come back after going back to it and subside once i confess and rest in God. Praying for you and I to grow in obedience to what God desires.
@@TyVodd wow i never thought anyone would relate to me with that, every time i’ve fallen into sin, the symptoms always come back and then i end up suffering for a time but then i cry out to God and He delivers me. it’s never worth it to return back to your vomit, if we eat our vomit, of course it’s going to make us sick because it was never meant to be there to begin with that’s why it came out of our system in the first place!

@@sheservesjesus Yep it always is the same symptoms too, showing its the same enemy attacking me. I rarely ever get sick thank God. Only when I give into the lust does a sickness come on me. Praying you keep near to God in every circumstance!

I lost a relationship with someone I considered the love of my life. It brought me closer to God bc now He was the only one who could give me comfort since everything is in His hands and I can’t control everything and fix other people no matter how much I love them. He also convicted me and showed my faith my whole life was insufficient and uninformed. Feel like I grew up a lot and learned who He is for the first time. I’m still recovering but God has given my the strength to go on and the belief that I can endure any storm or uncertainty with Him

The storm that i went threw after my stroke 3 years ago brought me much much closer to GOD his providing me with things that are human impossible better health and a new look on life again all thanks to GOD bless you all ❤❤❤
In 2021 I got sick with Covid, didn’t understand it at the time but over time I saw that God allowed it to bring me back to Him. I was living in sin. And doing things that I knew was wrong.

This was very encouraging. My storms have been going on for a long time, but every time I believe there is a purpose in it, I feel instantly better. And I do now. Thank you for this encouragement.

God uses storms on our lives to build our trust , faith, focus, on Him. For our protection and preparation.
For some reason, my storm is drawing me away from God.
My heart is sick from so much disappointment
I see how fickle my faith can be if everything is stripped away from me, which is where I am now.
I am learning to just take it one day at a time 😢

Wow so when God died for our disobedience and our transgressions when he came back out we were made new. We were meant to receive the punishment but when Jesus like Jonah came out the people were saved 😁 God is so good.

I really wish I wish I had your faith and belief, I thought I did at one time, I really loved going to Daily Mass. God has already abandoned and rejected me, He may be the 3 Os, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and He may be with us all the time but that does not mean He is going to help us and protect us. I believed 2 Timothy 4:18 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that He would protect us from Evil, but that did not happen, evil people ruined my life and God just stood by and let it happen.
This so important to understand our Fathers plan for our lives:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
It’s like weight lifting… you won’t get stronger unless the weights get heavier.

I love this story. It shows that God will help us even when our situation or mess is our own fault. It's easy to believe that God will help us if say our credit card Is stolen and our funds are gone but it's hard to believe when we have to money because we spent it all on stupid stuff we can't afford and ignored God voice saying Are you sure you need that? Your over budget.. etc. (Speaking from experoence). It drives us from God and I would up trying to fix things myself with sketchy cash advance apps etc until finally I said I can't fix this and am having to give it to God. Cast my care but not my responsibility. He may not just drop money in my bank account but if I follow him he will lead me out. And I'll be better for it.

I have faced a single storm that managed, literally overnight, to threaten every earthly thing I held most dear. In continuing to walk through this season, these are some areas, thus far, where I have seen God’s mercy:
1. I’ve learned about God’s ministry through His people and been humbled to allow Believers to pour into me and spiritually “hold up my head” when life was too heavy. 2. In allowing many things to be taken from me, God has been convicting me of pride and vanity and teaching me to place my worth in Him rather than my status and circumstances. 3. He’s taught me about His faithfulness. God truly is faithful even when we have moments of doubt during storms. 4. The beauty of His Word. Praying the Psalms has been a lifeline to me.

I went outside during a storm to greet if not face the one coming. It when he flashed the lightning before me. Just as in the house he or another left so fast it was like a pressure wave near my head. That isn’t to not also say they have pulsed me with electricity, electrified me to do as God likely would ask (I actually asked them to keep on it cause it helped and certainly I needed the help), raced my mind and even done what felt like electricity down a nerve in my head. Perhaps more sensation might also be similar and I’d suspect could even cause a seizure. Of course seek the truth from God and Scripture, regardless of who is trying to help you, even me. It is also possible that God sent his Army of which I sent down upon the house I was in that night when he came holding his hand on either side of my head and powered them up. Yet did not harm me. Later asking God to give protection to my family and then seeing them descended on the other side of the US over my house as well.

Hi you all. I’m asking for prayers. In this season I’m battling hard with postpartum anxiety and baby blues or depression. I’m good some days and very sad other days especially during the week when I’m alone with my baby. In this season I am a SAHM/ wife. I have been struggling to find a career and I am lost in my purpose. In this season I can’t hear the Father clearly and I’m lost on how to achieve my spiritual goals/ earthly goals. I am just trying to do better in Christ, in my marriage, as a mother, with our finances, and so much more but it’s been hard for me.
Give Jesus your burdens and trust He will see you through to a better place. I trust Him and I need Him in my life. He has done wonderful things for me, and trust me, I don’t deserve them. Never forget John 3:16.
I have so much stress and anxiety that my mind is about to explode. I'm worried so much all the time and word "relax" haven't exists in my life for a while now.
I also feel like my mind is going to explode like you said it’s like I’m worrying about things I have no control over, I can’t handle my own thoughts lol they’re too much for me and God is giving me strength to keep walking with him. God is powerful than our thoughts!!!
Philippians 4:6 Be careful (anxious) for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus 🙏🏼

Been struggling for almost 6 years now, and I still don't know what job to do. I became too afraid that I always wonder whether something is not what God wants me to do or is it me running away? It's just hard that there are more moments of doubts and worries than hoping and believing
You might be overthinking it. First thing to remember is that God wants us to be successful and work to pay for today. Recognize where your skills are and you might be the only one standing in your own way, self defeating. Make a list of your skills on one side and then areas where you think you might need to improve on the other side. It’s a starting point to get all the swimming thoughts down on paper in a more concise way.

All things are possible with God; it's a testament to His Mighty power. He also brought the dead back to life, and will also bring the dead within us (our souls) back to life as well if you let Him.
