رسمياً "شريكاً أكاديمياً" للجمعية الأمريكية للقانون الدولي (ASIL)

تفخر كلّية القانون في الجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد بالإعلان عن تسميتها رسمياً "شريكاً أكاديمياً" للجمعية الأمريكية للقانون الدولي (ASIL) للعام الدراسي 2024-2025. تشكّل هذه الشراكة مَعلَماً هاماً في التزامنا تطوير دراسات القانون الدولي، وهي تُميّز الكلّية بكونها الوحيدة في العراق التي تحظى بهذه العضوية المرموقة. وقد بات إسم جامعتنا ظاهراً بشكلٍ بارزٍ على الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي للجمعية، إلى جانب أسماء جامعاتٍ دوليةٍ مرموقةٍ أخرى.
أُسِّست الجمعية الأمريكية للقانون الدولي عام 1906، واعتُمدت من الكونغرس عام 1950، وهي منظمةٌ رائدة غير ربحية وغير حزبية، مكرّسة لدراسة القانون الدولي وتعزيزه. للجمعية الصفة الاستشارية الخاصة لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في الأمم المتحدة، وهي تمثّل منصّةً حيوية للباحثين والعاملين في هذا الحقل ولصانعي السياسات حول العالم.
بفضل هذه الشراكة البارزة، سيتاح لكلّية القانون الوصول إلى حزمةٍ من الموارد القيّمة لدى الجمعية، وكذلك فرص المشاركة في الأنشطة والفعاليات التي تقيمها. سيستفيد طلبة الكلّية من الوصول إلى موارد الجمعية ومنشوراتها كافة، بما فيها المجلة الأمريكية للقانون الدولي والمواد القانونية الدولية وأعمال الاجتماع السنوي؛ ومن شأن ذلك أن يعزّز التطوّر التعليمي والمهني لدى الطلبة. وستشترك الجمعية في رعاية الفعاليات التي تقيمها الكلّية وستعلن عنها، بما يعزّز ظهور الكلّية وأثرها في مجتمع القانون الدولي؛ كما ستقدّم الجمعية حلقات التدريب عبر الإنترنت لموظّفي الجامعة ولأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الكلّية، بما يطوّر مهارات كادر الجامعة ويثري معارفهم.
The College of Law (CoL) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) is proud to announce its official designation as an Academic Partner of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) for the 2024-2025 academic year. This partnership is a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to advancing the field of international law and marks AUIB’s CoL as the sole law college in Iraq to gain this prestigious membership. Our institution's name has been prominently featured alongside other esteemed international universities on the official ASIL website.
Founded in 1906 and chartered by Congress in 1950, ASIL is a leading nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the study and promotion of international law. With Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, ASIL serves as a vital platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.
Through this landmark partnership, CoL will gain access to an array of ASIL’s invaluable resources and have opportunities to participate in the Society’s activities and events. Our students will enjoy access to the American Journal of International Law, International Legal Materials, and the Society’s Annual Meeting Proceedings, thus enhancing CoL students’ educational and professional development. ASIL will co-sponsor and publicize CoL’s events, increasing our college’s visibility and impact within the international law community. ASIL will also provide online training sessions for our faculty and staff, enriching their skills and knowledge.
