Great episode you two !! Living in the U.S. a lot of bikers do the 2 fingers down. But, some nod as well when they can't remove their hands from the grip. I'm told the 2 fingers pointed down is saying, ride safe, and keep 2 wheels down ! As always, stay safe you two !!!

Oh silly people, you do what you want with that wave. When I rode a cruiser style it was two fingers down, now that I ride an upright riding position bike sport tourer, I wave hand up like goon, it works for me. So in reality. Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink, a Nods' as Good as Wink to a Blind Man.
Nice to see you crossed safely over to France ,vlogs would get more interesting when crossing borders from one country to next if you highlight what’s involved at each border (what paperwork is required at each border ,every border is different)and what kind expenditure is involved daily so people get some idea what’s involved. Ms Itchy Boots does quite a good job of covering her border crossings and it seems like each country in the south and central America have slight variances. She recently had fun entering El Salvador, the crossing was so small that it didn't have a Customs presence and ended up entering the country without getting temporary import papers for her bike, so technically she riding her bike illegally in El Salvador meaning she couldn't leave until she could fix the situation. Luckily a fellow moto vlogger Charly Sinewan she'd been chatting with for some time was actually in the country, he helped find a solution for her.
@@adventuretoshare also along the way it would be nice to know which countries are drone and camera shy .😜 It some countries you really need to be careful flying drones and making videos .
Suggest tying a small rag to you right mirror to remind you of which side the kerb should be on. I do when abroad and once exiting a petrol station in Germany, no traffic, I naturally went to the wrong side of the road. The rag reminded me. Also please, again, one rides a bike and never drives it 👍
Hahaha ride ride ride I will try and remember 😂 That’s a good idea with the rag but I am very used to driving in Europe, we spent 4 months here last year

It must have felt like the trip was really underway when you rode off the ferry into a different country. How exciting for you guys! I think riders in a lot of countries that drive on the right side of the road do that hand gesture to passing riders, but we can't really do that one in our countries without taking our hand of the throttle. So we do the head nod instead.
Getting into a new country is always exciting! Yes exactly that's why! Just like the UK. Didn't realise that at first but now we've nailed the two finger salute! 😁🙏

Congratulations!! So excited to watch your videos. Ollie, you can definitely wave to other bikers as well. When I was a passenger, I always waved, now I have my own motorcycle and send out the peace and respect (the biker wave) to other riders :) I only do the head nod if my hands are busy.

There is the train that you can go on with the bike and it takes you through the tunnel but actually the ferry was much cheaper 😊

It'd also be useful to understand the process and timing of entry, transit and exit from any eastern block countries where timing is critical.
