I dedicate this song to my dearly beloved mother. She was diagnosed with lupus in 2002, which led to her having diabetes, hypertension, and kidney failure. Regardless of all of these illnesses, my mother was a fighter. She fought until her very end for me. Even through illness, she still smiled for me and remained positive. She died on December 2, 2013. I found her deceased in her bedroom. At first, I didn’t realize she was deceased. I thought she was sleeping. When she never woke up, I went back into her bedroom to check on her. When I checked for her heartbeat and pulse, her body was so cold. This is when I realized she was deceased. Mother, I miss you. You stood by me regardless of how difficult it was for you. Even through harsh times, you never strayed away from me. For this, I thank you. I’ll never forget about you and I’ll always follow in your footsteps. I am proud to be your son. You are my heroine.

This is to my one of oldest daughter’s elementary school teachers. I credit Mrs. Hammond to inspiring my daughter and myself to keep the faith while our home life was chaos. Apparently she had that effect on all of her students. At the end of the elementary school culmination ceremony, Celine Dionne’s song, “ Because You Loved Me” played. As it played, all students in her class ran and surrounded Mrs. Hammond, crying and performing an extraordinary group hug around her. My mother, myself and many of the other parents saw this and cried too. …. I saw Celine sing at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics and all the memories came flooding back. Celine Dionne is an extraordinary gift to us all and I love her for who she is. An inspiration ✨✨✨

This song just remembered me my mother. She passed 3 months ago, and there is no days that I can go without think about her voice saying “I love you”
This is a great song! On 20-June I danced with my daughter at her wedding to this song and her husband danced with his mother :) That was a wonderful experience for me at 70 and to give her hand in marriage to that young man. God has blessed my life immensely.

I dedicated this to my step dad because It was the day I was really born. Before that I was never really living nor was I a recognized person and since he died I am proud to say I am all he was and myself and he will live forever through his grandchildren and has left a strong loving legacy. ❤️
This song was absolutely written word for word for my husband. He was one in 100 trillion. No one could imagine what he meant and still means to me and how deeply I loved and adored him. When he died I knew I would die soon without him. Basically, I did.

When my brother was in his last stages of cancer, I took care of him for 3 months. He was still able to get out of the house and enjoy what life he had left. When I hear this I feel as though these are the words he would have said to me. I miss him. Love him so much. RIP brother!

This gets me every time. I always think of the Lord when I hear this song.
This song is super special to me for a different reason than most.
It's the earliest song I ever remember hearing. I was born in November of 1992, and had eyesight for the first 7 years of my life, but due to childhood glaucoma, I had to have many surgeries to try to fix it. In mid 2000 I completely lost my eyesight. However, I can tell you exactly where I was and when and where and how I heard this song for the first time.
I was in my bedroom, with our a radio in my room tuned to CJ1240, our local station at the time, and I had just woken up from a nap after flying home from Vancouver the previous day. The bed had a small metal frame, painted white, with a bedspread with the Jetsons on it, and a mickey mouse pillow that was otherwise white. It was a sunny late Winter afternoon, after 1:00 or so. The walls were all a pleasant white colour with some wall stickers of a school bus, an Airbus A300 plane from Royal Airlines, and a stop sign that I loved so much. A blue toy box (a rubber tub) was in the corner, with my favourite orange and yellow dump truck toy on top of it, that made noise when you rolled it and had a bell with a spinny wheel inside when you rose and dropped the bucket thanks to a spring-loaded lever.
I still have that little old radio to this day, it's safely tucked in my nightstand's drawer now 28 years later.
I am amazed how well I remember it, but it was my earliest vivid memory that I can go into huge detail fore, considering how young I was. This memory will always be so precious to me because of how I associate it with my first 7 years and the gift of sight.

This song has always made me think of my mother. It is especially poignant now, as she is dying of cancer and will leave us soon. Celine was one of her favorites.
I'm truly sorry and I understand my Mom passed away on the 13th of January and it hurts to no end and I lost the biggest part of my heart that day. God bless and I'll be praying for you.
@@TomBennett1 I feel you. My mama was my favorite person in the whole world. I have moments where I think of her and just cry because I know she's not here anymore. She passed away on December 15, just a couple days after I posted the above comment.
@@ChristinaMoore79 I'm sorry again and my Momma was on the 13th. There are no words that can say the pain I feel but it's almost like she was the only one who understood me so it's even harder.

@@ChristinaMoore79 yeah I understand that I happened to find myself in addiction with pain medicine and throughout the entire time my Mom was the only one who stayed by my side. She was really what kept me alive throughout it because the thought of her finding out that if I'd pass away from an overdose the thought of her having to bury me I didn't want to hurt her like that and that was the only reason I had to stay somewhat in check but the greatest thing I was ever able to do was give her time with me being sober and on February 23rd will be 4 years now so I'm truly thankful for the time I was able to have with her and being sober our relationship got stronger as well. I don't tell people that much because I don't like the stigma of being an addict but her love was stronger than addiction. I plan on staying on the same track as well because I won't let her down and stay as strong as I can for her because I know that would disappoint her more than anything.
