Got 1200’s? This still amazing! Both are pioneers in their respective rights. Jel has been finger drumming before anyone I’m aware of and Abilities not using sets are amazing. Watching a DJ switch records has me reminiscing what it was like pre Seratto/Traktor or some Ableton pre mix. Love the technology but spinning w Vinyl required a completely different skill set. Improv at its finest
J.E.L. was rockin ah sp 1200 that night, before he had the MPC 2000XL sp 303 and 404 and the Quneo which he has currently. my homie got a better view of Jel tappin the SP 1200 where you could see everything and funny thing is its on VHS this was way before smartphones with cameras, my homie was using a VHS Camera, and there were only two camera people taking footage that night. he also has footage of when the whole Anticon camp (2000 or 2001) came to Cactus and Sole asked him what he was going to do with the footage lol
