Its funny how a song can take on a whole new meaning the older you get. Yet you keep the nostalgia in your heart from when you where just a little kid rocking out!
Everyone’s talking about how this song brings back memories but not about the fact that this about failing relationship that can’t end cause they’re in too deep.
lmao, i've never heard of this band until i watched an old playthrough of jacksepticeye playing until dawn and he sang this for a little bit. So I searched up one of the lyrics and damn, this does give hella 2000's vibes and the more I payed attention to the lyrics, the more I realized it was about a relationship.
Track describes the struggles of a strained relationship. The lyrics describe how the people in the relationship are constantly at odds, unable to communicate and trying too hard to make it work. The narrator is aware that they are in too deep and trying to stay above it by not going under or giving up.
This song always reminds me of a field trip I went on as kid in the 90's. This song played on the radio on the way there and I can never forget that day!
Damn, the feels . Even though i was born in 1999. The fact cheaper by the dozens and american pie introduces me to this song , makes me appreciate this for the rest of my life. Plus, it makes me wanna live and feel what it feels like to live during the early 2000’s. And it’s the year where skateboarding is so very much alive and so hype 🤘🏻 and it makes me wanna go back to skateboarding by just hearing this song
I fell in love with this song from Malcolm in the middle, but it reminded me of skating and the shame of never having learned got me to stop listening, its been a few years this is the first time listening, making great strides on the board.
I was in high school in the mid and late 80's and that decade is still with me. But the late 90's/early 2000's wss an absolute great time and the bands and their music are why. Everything became fun again and EVERYTIME I hear these songs, especially from AP and AP2, oh man.....I'm with @Mitchell Wagoner. I wish I could relive those years again.
If you feel as though you are in too deep and can't seem to catch your breath, keep standing! Psalms 91:8 says that you shall only behold the reward of the wicked. This setback that you may be going through is NOT God trying to teach you something. It is the devil trying to get you to quit. Don't give him the pleasure of walking on top of you like a doormat!! Beat him up with the Word of God and claim your victory!
"Enough is enough! You're slacking on your chores, fighting in school! Things are out of control! You are all GROUNDED!!! You go to school, come home from school, do your chores, do your homework, you go to bed! And that's it!" LOL. Cheaper by the Dozen rocks.

@ThrockmortonJGildersleeve did he say it wasnt???? It's okay to let people enjoy their memories from which they got certain songs my guy 👍😅 it'll be alright I promise
Thumbs Up for two of those bands being canadian-born and one of them moving to Canada and becoming canadian citizens. "Which am I talking about?" is what some people who are not huge fans of these bands might ask. Here are the answers. Sum 41 and Simple Plan are canadian-born, Sum 41 is from Ajax, Ontario, Simple Plan is from Montreal, Quebec. The members of Green Day are canadian citizens at the time this is being posted. Holiday, What We're All About, Come Out And Play, and Shut Up are AWESOME
I haven't heard anything by Sum 41 in years (last time was like I Lego rock band I had every guitar hero and rock band game) but I still know the lyrics to most of their songs including this and fat lip by heart.
Not me thinking he was saying “trying to keep a bubble on my head instead of going under” all these years 🤦🏻♂️ 😂 …and yes, instantly transported back to the early ‘00s
