    deandre hunter is also really improved since last season

      Yeah, easily six more a year definitely not Peyton Pritchard

      I wouldn’t say that he’s improved because he was starting last season , now coming off the bench.
      Might be more comfortable in his new role, but can’t see it as an improvement when you’re move from the starting SF to 6th man.

      @Milton-h4f he is avg 5 points more a game with avg of 2 less min and .2 more rebounds a game. that is almost as good as you get for a 1 year improvement. he actually improved more then jj. dont believe me look it up. Just just more flashy.

      Hunter is CLEARLY progressing and is much improved over previous years. It’s not the same guy we saw last year.

    We definitely found a gem in JJ. I recall him in college. But I didn’t see this coming at all. He’s a lot of what we wanted when he drafted Hunter and we see how effective he is coming off the bench with more freedom to score. I can finally appreciate what Quinn brings to this team. The rotations have more logic. Having a worthy roster helps.

      Was big on JJ when we drafted him, I thought we had finally found a potential wing for Trae and Reddish replacement. I was expecting a breakout year last season until Kuzma's envy hit em (no value, salary eating players like Kuz need to go. Stern would've been had him out the league). Future looks bright now with JJ breaking expectations, DD breaking out, addition of Risacher and future draft capital back.

    1 of 3 players averaging 20/10/5 just shows the consistency he’s had all year

    As he develops, it will become more discernible that Jalen is a combination of Bron, Pippin and Giannis. Mark my words!!

    The fact that we had him available during the playoffs vs the Miami heat one year and vs the Celtics last year and didn’t use him. Got me heated with these nba coaches not playing what they have available

    • @harrislaurent429
      @harrislaurent429 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Mcmillian didn’t play him at all his rookie year, he actually did play in the Celtics series the next year but not that much bc he only got in the rotation when Quinn got there

    • @rickshnizel4169
      @rickshnizel4169 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ and that’s the thing the hawks had injured/ tired players. And still didn’t use what they had available. These nba coaches be scared to use what they have available, if they have little to no nba experience at the time. In soccer it’s not like that, not even at the highest level. If you’re good and they could use you, they don’t shy away from giving play time and chances. Even if it is a 16 year old with no experience. If you’re good, then you can play period. In they nba these coaches are too stuck in their old ways

    Welcome aboard JJ bandwagon 😀
    JJ is the real deal. You can see how the game has just slowed down drastically from a mental perspective for him.
    It's just easy for him... Once he figures out the art of getting easy buckets via FTs on a daily basis, it's a wrap.
    The growth from game to game is just crazy. And the crazy part is he's still hasn't unlocked his post and face-up game yet. He's been working on it on the off-season, but it's still not automatic yet.
    Once that part shows up more consistently in game...smh

    If the Hawks settle around 5/6 seed, you think he hits All Star this year? At least as a reserve

    • @sherijms4
      @sherijms4 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      He should be the frontrunner for Atlanta considering Trae’s shooting splits but there’s a case they could maybe both make it if one is a wildcard spot

    • @epikst3r154

      JJ is an all star tbh maybe not a starter but off the bench yeah if they can stay at the 5th or 6th seed like they are rn and JJ is a consistent player maybe not from 3 but he's an all around player

      @@sherijms4I understand the argument but if you look at the hawks with Trae off the court it’s a travesty. They can’t even function on offense even if Jalen is on the court. Yea Trae isn’t having his best shooting/scoring season but it’s clear he’s the fulcrum of this hawks team. Maybe once Jalen’s assertiveness with respect to his playmaking and shot creation it will be a different story but for now the hawks are still Trae Young’s.

    A healthy DeAndre and Jalen makes Trae's job look easy. We may not get a all-star but that's ok. I would rather have a top 4 seed in the east.

      JJ, Dyson and Dre do make Trae's job easy. Of course they benefit from his elite passing ability. That's why they're a team. They blend and work together.

    People fail to recognize that this kid was projected as a top 5 pick going into college. The only reason he dropped was bc he only played 5 games at Duke and sat out for the draft during the Virus year.

    He’s like a skinny and less strong version of young Lebron, but without the same level of shot creation, without the IQ, passing and streaky shooting, im talking about the 20-25 version of Bron when he was 6’8 240-250 and the fastest and most bouncy player on earth

    It almost seems Ricacher is the same player! Maybe Zac is a slightly better shooter, maybe!
    But two athletic forwards who can do ot all, around Trae and whoever else comes for the ride, like Daniels!
    Is it all there or the centre still needs addressing?

    Product of Trae Young. If you watch games he can’t score in the half court when Trae on the bench. Good player but that’s about it, he just a smarter John collins

    • @William_Stephens
      @William_Stephens 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Trae does help him but he’s good. Needs to work on his assertiveness, playmaking and shot creation in the half court if he wants to be one of those wings in the mold of a Lebron, but he has all of the requisite attributes.
