Over the last 45 years I've made a bazillion granny squares in just as many ways, but somehow, the idea of making a diamond like this just never occurred to me. I absolutely love it!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I had to learn to crochet by myself and I hold the yarn and the hook different than most people. I’ve tried to do it like everyone else but it wasn’t comfortable and it slowed me down. You are the first person I’ve seen to hold the yarn like I do. 💜
Sooo Interesting how differently people hold their hook and catch their yarn for the next stitch. I'm self-taught from waaay early 70's. No videos, only black & white print. Had no one who showed me any how too's, but 40yrs. later I'm on an expert level
Learned to crochet over lockdown and this was a great tutorial! I'm making a patchwork cardigan and I'm thinking of using granny squares like this on it
Nice easy pattern. Excellent if you want to make a square blanket in one piece only or join it up with other same coloured squares to create an even better never ending diamond blanket.
This Is a beautiful granny square design. Was really easy to follow. And i was able to complete without difficulties. I would really like to know how to attach this square together. Do you have a tutorial on how to attach.
The pattern is lovely, but I am more concerned about the back of the piece. I understand that the yarn gets crocheted around to make it look neat, but then when picking up the next colour in the pattern, wouldn't it look odd?
Thank you! If you watch the beginning of the video, I shows the back of the piece, and it looks very similar to the front. :) Let me know what you think!
It is a little strange to me the way you crochet. I use the hook to go under the yarn, and you use the yarn to go over the hook. It would take me forever to do it that way. But whichever is most comfortable is good. The end result is the same. Neat pattern.
So nice to see someone else who holds their hook the same way!
