- Star Wars (0 ABY - 4 ABY): Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina Anthology - SWAP MEET: THE JAWA'S TALE: (Original & Unabridged AUDIOBOOK)
Between larger projects, I am clearing my backlog in Post-Production... I thought this story, SWAP MEET, and its accompanying story, TRADE WINS, would be an interesting change before the release of Black Fleet Squadron Vol. 2 - Part 2. Enjoy!

Have you ever wondered about the events leading up to the Jawa sitting at the table with a drink (very "un-Jawa-like" behavior) prior to Han Solo's fateful meeting in the Mos Eisley Cantina (as seen in Star Wars: A New Hope)?
This is the story of Het Nkik, a Jawa who has a score to settle...
Storyline:
Het Nkik, unlike most Jawas, is not content to run away and hide when threatened.
When his clan-mate and best friend Jek Nkik is killed by stormtroopers looking for R2-D2 and C-3PO he buys an illegal DL-44 blaster pistol at a Jawa annual swap-meet, sets off to Mos Eisley for vengeance and to show other Jawas they're not powerless. He's encouraged in this by Obi-Wan Kenobi when they meet at the burnt-out wreckage of Jek's Sand Crawler.
Anthology Detail:
"Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina Anthology" features sixteen short stories set in and around Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina on Tatooine. It was edited by Kevin J. Anderson, and was first published on July 1, 1995 by Bantam Spectra. The book was followed by Tales from Jabba's Palace, and later, Tales of the Bounty Hunters. The first three "Star Wars: Tales" anthologies: "Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina", "Tales from Jabba's Palace", and "Tales of the Bounty Hunters"; were reprinted in the 1997 compilation book "Star Wars: Tales". The series was later expanded between 1997 - 1999 with "Tales from the Empire" and "Tales from the New Republic."

The story of Het Nkik... a Jaws with a mission... 😮
Kevin J Anderson is always a treat. I don’t actually remember this reading this back in the day. Thank you 🙏 from the bottom of my legally blind heart you’re doing God’s work. This is fantastic.
Thank you for the kind words!
I also barely remember reading both 'Swap Meet' and 'Trade Wins' back in the day... they both needed a little extra to bring the two stories into their own! Expect to learn the fate of Het Nkik following his attack on the storm troopers in 'A Stormtrooper's Tale' which will be the next interlude from Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina.
Great Jawa started a revolution!
Never fw a Jawa unless you ready to get your jaw knocked off raw dog you soft and sky walk off
Hahaha... YES, he did!
It is interesting to wonder how events would have unfolded if that conniving little Ranat had not stolen Het Nkik's power pack for his blaster. Would he have been able to shoot down ALL 8 storm troopers?
Yes!
Het Nkik had the right idea!
Great quality. Thank you.
Thank you! ... I am glad you enjoyed it!
@@TheArchivistPublishing most definitely. Thank you again.
Amazing, thanks for the entertainment
@@tunny79 My pleasure! 🤗

Let's wait for "The Stormtrooper's Tale" to see Het Nkik's ultimate destiny.
... my thoughts EXACTLY!!!
After Black Fleet Crisis Vol. 2 - Part 2 is released, I am planning the next interlude to be "The Stormtrooper's Tale"!
Obi-Wan Kenobi, this individual still causes trouble and try to help through the galaxy no matter what he still against everything rebels against the Jedi, rebel against rules, gets quite done and even learn to speak like a jawa and understand their culture and help them to find its own strength to be against his own people the strength to fight back against the empire against the stormtroopers that murdered that sand collar with their friend with other people burning this Ben Kenobi individual truly is the starlight of the Galaxy
I agree completely!
It is interesting to wonder how events would have unfolded if that conniving little Ranat had not stolen Het Nkik's power pack for his blaster. Would he have been able to shoot down ALL 8 storm troopers?
If he had, would the Empire's focus have shifted (at least temporarily) from Ben, Luke, Han & Chewie to the Jawas? It is interesting to imagine.
Also, you will see some more of Obi-Wan's good deeds in the later story in Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina, in 'At a Crossroads: A Spacer's Tale' !
Woooo that's hard
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Did you catch my homage to "Risky Business" with Het Nkik's landspeeder's false starts, accompanied by the background music's false starts?
