Yes!!!! My wife and I have done the entire Shore Path several times. It is quite a spiritual journey. The first time I did it on my own accidentally. I thought the lake was only as big as what you see from downtown Lake Geneva. But then the view opens up several more times and it is obviously much bigger than it initially looks. I survived that hike with no food, money, or water (drank from the bathroom sink in Williams Bay, then again at the green water fountain someone installed on their property.) Lost 10 pounds in water weight from being so dehydrated. Of course it was the middle of July, hot hot day. I was probably closer to death than I've ever been due to my ignorance and lack of preparation.
Then my wife and I made the journey several times after that with plenty of water, food, money, etc.
9-10 hours is about right! And yes, the total mileage is confusing for some reason. I think it's really closer to 22 miles, but people probably "round up" to 26 because that's basically a full marathon distance. Certainly with all the hills, valleys, rugged terrain, etc. it is much more strenuous and challenging than a marathon!
Glad you guys made it, and documented a small fraction of it to remember and share.
Nice job!! Maybe we'll see you on the path sometime :)

That’s an amazing story! I can’t imagine starting it thinking it’d be a nice little walk and doing the whole thing 😂 that’s an awesome accomplishment. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the kind words, we’ll definitely do it again at some point and maybe see you there!

Well after watching this I am starting to get a little nervous but I am planning to do this walk by myself on Halloween. I took the day off so I can take my kids trick or treating later in the day after school. I was planning on starting around 6:30 in the morning and hopefully being able to stick with it and finish around 2:30 in the afternoon. I still do not know where I am going to park but at 45 years old I want to prove to myself that I can do this plus the views look super magnificent.
