  • in the brand new season 6 update there were a couple of maps added, one of which being Atomic. Here is a behind the scenes on the development of the map.

    Love the elevation in the map, gotta be good for trickshots. I would maybe recommend a bounce pad to get Upto the second floor but that’s just my opinion

      I really don't like bounce pads lol. You can do parkour to get up there though

    one question, there still alot of objects on this map, I made a map called "Pines" on customs back then and I wondered if making the background objects (such as blocks outside the map) untouchable (forgot the word, but players/projectile can't touch it/passes through) would help getting better frames, is it true? Tell me what do map makers like u make maps that guarantees no fps loss on their created maps even for the most objects
    what I also believe is removing other useless "faces" of blocks would help, for example Im looking infront of a block, I removed the back texture since my only view on tha block was limited(cant go from behind)

      Yeah, making things non collidable does give better fps. Turning off the faces of objects that you can't see also helps.

      @@fudgee923 not really. just make sure you keep the object count low, and optimize the faces/objects as much as possible with those 2 things i mentioned.

      @@Photek24 so that means having a big chunk of block with textures/faces enabled on the player's perspective gives more fps than smaller pieces combined as a big chunk(without anything inside the block)with texture/faces enabled on the player's perspective

      @@fudgee923 basically, just keep the object count as low as you Possibly can without making the decoration barebones. Turning off faces you can't see and turning off out of bounds objects collisions really helps, i think making bigger structures with fewer objects sorta helps because it makes an illusion that there's more going on than what actually is, and it saves fps in the process.
