Santa's little helper is back again, I love it! I will be most interested to see how that Vespa engine will turn out. And, by the way, I am pretty sure solbaer is blackcurrant ;-)
Another great one mate! I can feel the freezing cold coming through the screen, thankfully our dowstairs neighbours helps the temp in the Oslo to a nice 13c deg 🥳. Thanks for hooking me up with Scott, such a talented and nice guy! Looking forward to ride with you next season again buddy!! 🛵🙏
Just ride the TS-1 Rob. I do all the Euro Lambrettas from Finland on a TS-1. I can cope with most failures and carry multiple spares including a spare piston but if it gets as bad as a seal failure then I accept I cannot fix it on the side of the road. These rides are all over 1500km and I’ll be doing Trondheim from Finland with the same spares package and acceptance of failure. You don’t need an engine change. In my spares here I keep lots of small odds and sods as everything has to come from Germany. But anything major is also available within a week or so. But what is not is a TS-1 cylinder and piston so I bought a spare from MB with a piston and had it replated and ready to go. A TS-1 can be reliable as many modern solutions. This sits on my shelf of spares.
Super video again 👍 Looking forward to your final decision on fast touring engine dilemma and keeping my fingers crossed its an RB24 or stroked Monza. Can an SS225 on 64mm stroke give (SS250) the mid range torque you’re after and work with the Nordspeed ?
That's also something I am thinking about. A partial build ss250 from Rimini costs 3000 euro and I already have the rest. I think the norspeed could do really well with that and I got 32hp on my ss240. That is a fun motor and it it goes pear shaped, I can use that set up on loads of other options down the line. My dilemma is that with this new sst SSR bfs kits your engine block is only useable with one kit... Sleepless nights for me at the mo
Am I right in saying Rob that really the only kit you can buy for a Vespa is a Malossi there as there seems to be a plethora of kits for lammys,I’ve had a Vespa back in the mid 80s,90cc one unfortunately it wasn’t the very rare and very expensive to buy super sprint with the fuel tank just in front of the seat and between your legs, never had it long as I preferred lambrettas I think a bit like yourself, nevertheless what ever ye do I enjoy watching your vlogs Love and peace from Ireland
Rob, so long as the bike, whatever kit it has on it will do 70-75mph (112-120kph) why spend mental money. My Rt195 clocks 70mph. About to put the avanti st back on it (extended silencer) to try for 75mph. Then going for a 5 speed box 80mph. Should be good for cruising at 65. Save your money pal😊
Apparently it won't affect husquarna, so parts isn't a problem. I see Piaggio has also over stock after the boom during COVID and has stopped production
That SIP cylinder kit is beautifully manufactured.

Looking forward to the buld Rob 👍👍
Good to see ya Rob.

Nice one mate, good to see you diving into a Vespa!
Vespa is where it started for me 😎
wish i lived next door lol
If you move somewhere cold, you can't complain about how cold it is 😂
Ahh, but that is the thing. I live in southern Norway where it isn't actually that cold (normally)
@kickbackgarage where did you live before Norway?
Born in the UK, served 7 years in the army before I moved here
@@kickbackgarage it's 7° in Bradford right now " feels like 5 ' that's probably tropical to Norway 😁
@cm-oo1td it's 10c here today. Have fun with your northern drizzle 😁
I have two bikes with VAPE ignitions and I have found them excellent. Ones a Yamaha RD400 and the other is a Zundapp DB200 from 1939.
Great to see you back and excited as a Christmas Gnome Rob hahaha 👍🏻

There are loads of kits now for vespas. Especially large Frame 3 port and small frame motors.

Wow it's been a while 🤔
Sell the KTM before they go bust and you can't get parts for it
