  • In this video, I test anti-squat from one extreme to the other on my HB Racing E819RS. The results should be the same for the nitro buggy as well. I was shocked at the results enough to make me change my setup!!

Wish I still had my local track! It would make it alot easier to test things, I've been doing some things trying to get more steering in truggy and less in buggy. Both Electric. So I switched the servos to start..., the buggy servo is a power house that should be in a truggy. The one I had in my truggy is a good, it's a cheap servo t is fast, but don't have but Maybe half the power of the powerhobby. A 729 MLB powerhobby. My favorite for buggy is savox 1271sg and I am waiting on the servo case to have it back. Never damaged the gears but the servo case plastic many times I am on the 3rds set of plastics and waiting for the 4th. If the 1271 was in a metal case it would be perfect for me. And it is coreless where the 45kg 9imod I had in truggy is also but the 729 is brushless. I have ordered the 9imod 45kg brushless to try in buggy. Hope it has the power the coreless model is missing. Still great servos for 35 for coreless, and 50 for brushless. Check them out on my channel for some of the updates. Thanks for the info and hard work, I know it ain't east making videos!

Just a friendly advise, antisquat might be the last part of the setup you would focus on in your case. Imo, your car is bottoming out really hard. I can hear the cassis smashing the ground after every jump basically, destabilizing the car and scrubbing away speed. Focusing on making better your suspension package would give you much better feel and consistency.

Less anti squat has always been better. Only time i like more anti squat is landing bigger jumps 😉🏁

Really cool experiment. I always wondered whether anti-squat or pro-squat would be better for putting power down and keep the rear from kicking out in really slick/loose turns. Any thoughts in that regard?

More anti-squat will make the car looser off power, but accelerate harder, so in loose on power situations, a little less anti-squat should be a little better.

@@TheHammer Before I asked, I had no idea which would be better. You were absolutely right. I did a test on a wet and slick track with 2 consecutive 180deg turns and it definitely was more composed in those conditions with the D pill elevated.

Thanks for sharing. Can you post your cheat sheet for anti-squat?

I will do that later this afternoon when I have access to my laptop. Look for it on the community page.

Have you tried pro-squat to see the effect of that?
