    Today we are making a leaf blower powered Inflatable-Flailing-Arm-Dancing-Thing.... waving inflatable tube guy.... wacky waving tube man...We still aren't really sure what these are called. But you get it: The Car Dealership Things.
    We wanted to make one powered by our Makita 18v Blower... or rather see if we could. We started this build unsure if it was going to even be feasible for the size finished guy we were hoping for.
    We love projects that use a wide range of tools and processes, and this wound up being one of those. Making this used the See Me CNC 3D printers, sewing machines, and our Laguna EX Laser Cutter.
    We hope this makes you smile as much as it made us smile :)

    Great problem solving and wonderful idea to make a new best friend!

      Thanks! He’s been the best addition to the shop. A great listener; always down for a dance party, and he doesn’t rearrange the tools on us. What more can we ask for?

    Hahaa!!...strangely enough, watching this vid was rather satisfying, even though I sort of skipped through. Naturally funny, I must say. By the way, I didn't search for this, but it rolled over and I was about to skip it but I said let me just see how this is going to pan out. Oddly, I didn't regret it one bit. 😃😂🙃

      Thanks! There were a few moments where we weren’t sure it was going to work, at least for a guy that was as large as we wanted.

    3D printing is the best for prototyping, very cool video!

      Thanks! We love how fast the digital tools make the prototyping process. It makes us more willing to tackle ridiculous ideas, Bc the stakes are relatively low if we fail.

      We did some research when we were designing the valves and the big ones for stadiums have about 3 times the cfm we were working with on the blower. With that info we were feeling pretty happy with the size we were able to achieve with just a leaf blower. Getting the airflow even was really the key over anything.

    Adapt! Overcome! Dance! I enjoyed seeing how you worked through all your obstacles! Do you plan on making seasonal air dancers.....?

    • @MakersWorkshopLLC
      @MakersWorkshopLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. This is an extreme sport; and nothing less. We weren’t planning on it but I think I can see your vision. Autumn: headless horseman winter: this guy, but with ear muffs spring: a big flower summer: this guy, but with shades on. How did we do?

    Rip-stop nylon is even lighter, and isn't as porous. Much better for inflatables.

    • @pattystomper1
      @pattystomper1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see you did switch to rip-stop halfway through the video.
      Glad I could be of help (2 years too late) lol!

    I found this video while brainstorming an idea for dressing up a high-power cordless backpack leaf blower as a Ghostbusters-style proton pack, with an air dancer as the beam. I think the hardest part may be having a lighting effect that works from the inside. And, of course, rolling up the air dancer after blasting a ghost with it. I'd be really interested in your take on this sort of idea since you've already put together something very similar.

    • @MakersWorkshopLLC
      @MakersWorkshopLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hm. This sounds like a really fun project. I bet you could get lights hidden in the diffuser facing the right direction pretty easily. As long as it’s nice and secure with wires long enough to put the rest of the electrical to the side.

      @@MakersWorkshopLLC 🔴 What Is Islam?
      🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
      🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
      🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
      🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
      🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
      🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
      📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚
      🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
      🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.
