I never grew up in the village or our home town but my mum thought us all how to speak yoruba very fluently

I grew up in Ibadan and I didn't know of any both educated and uneducated Yoruba women and men who didn't speak Yoruba very well. That's why I said this generation. It's the problem of the new generation who see English as better than their mother tongue. By the way, I'm a man!

My first language is Cherokee, and I'm trying to learn the tones of Yoruba, as I have a lot of Yoruba friends. Our tone system is harsher, so I have to figure it out.
