Well, they experts said it, best return of serve ever, and, no matter where you place that ball, if Serena's on the other side, you're probably in trouble.

Yeah exactly, Azarenka dosen't have a huge serve it was her return of serve that use to trouble Serena. Azarenka still managed to defeat Serena in multiple finals in big tournaments Indian Wells, Miami, Cincinatti and Doha. Serena never really face any big servers in her career one of the reasons she dominate in her prime. Osaka at her best out serve Serena.

Hot take: if vika had a better serve with more power and spin she and Serena would have had a much closer head to head record. vika was close many times to beating Serena But didnt cause she was missing just an edge and her serve was her clear weak point.

I would say probably not. Serena used to practice with Venus, who hit, and served, the ball harder than both Serena and Vika, so I think serena would be used to the power. Also, the problem with having a powerful serve, you sacrifice spin that you can add. However, even if vika developed power and spin on her serve, mentally if she’s not ready or confident with her serve, Serena will break her serve down over the match.

Azarenka's serve is meh. How she became World No.1 blows my mind to this day.
Her serve was good even really good at times but it just wasn’t the best on tour. What do you mean? She was literally impossible to beat on a hard court for 2 consecutive years. Of course she became would number 1. Why are you acting as if she was bad?
Azarenka did other things really well. I’d argue she had a good first serve in her prime

She was The best player off The Ground and made No mistakes While hitting very hard in her prime and moving great plus Serena was not fully back when she was number 1 But it was fully deserved
