- A midlevel overview of the topic "trapping, backspamming and blocking" for mario kart wii.
Before you guys ask "why didn't he add this trap spot in the video" it's because I'm trying to explain the concept of trapping and what makes a good trap spot. Not a montage of every trap spot in the game. So for instance I talk about apexs, how to avoid stuff etc, over telling you every single right angle turn in the game.
Also I'm sorry about the production value of this video being a little bit lower then normal, but my pc really struggles with videos over 5 minutes long, so instead of taking a day or two to edited a video, this one took an entire week. I wanted to add more GFX and stuff but it's hard to do so when your timeline is moving at 2 fps.

On N64 Bowser's Castle, someone blocked the entry to the spindrift cut, and I managed to avoid it twice in the race and get the cut.
One minor nitpick, for your thumbnails could you go back to having a character/vehicle outline instead of them being filled in? It just looks a bit cleaner and everything else is so wonderful
My older thumbnails do something like that, but I want a particular style that gives the effect of a hard shadow, I'm still improving so expect a lot of changes through the thumbnails!

How does someone do a wheelie-chain drift so well and constantly with wii remote and nunchuk? Wouldn't it be nearly impossible with the janky motion controls??

Buffer the wheelie before the drift, so wheelie first. That'll give you a bigger window to input a chain/slip drift.
well made, not enough players are aware of the logic behind trapping
A good spot could be to precisely put an item in an item box so when someone heads towards the item box and gets the item box, they also get the/your trap
Grow this channel! Mario kart needs more attention like it did back then, not like it doesn’t but the fan base has to grow more

Whenever I decide to trap, I only ever put the items on a boost over a gap, so that I can get people to fall, I never knew all these other spots existed

I think dockless on ds ds is much easier if you just release the Mt at the highest point and wheelie.

there IS competitive play for mario kart wii and it's way deeper than you'd think
wouldn't it be smart to get shocked near an edge with a star to bait people to either slow down to get the star, or get the star and drive off due to the speed increase
