I'm toying with the idea of selling my '21 Tenere 700 (w/$2,00.00+ in mods) for the 2024 model of this bike. I've been riding for 52 years, and am looking for something a bit more on-road oriented. I'm surprised there are so many aftermarket accessories available for them. Thanks for the look at yours!
These bikes are extremely comfortable..I love all things yamaha but these bikes are great, and the ktm motor has an addictive sound in sport mode above 4800rpm !!
Instead of the 3 bulky cases. I like the idea of 3 water proof black canvas saddlebags (or black blue & gray to match the bike) That could be strapped down flat when empty. So they're not in the way or flapping in the wind. But always there when you need em.
i agree with your statement... but the only thing and biggest reason i like the hardboxes is that if you go down they act like a cage around you.. to an extent of course, i dont have unrealistic expectations of protection.. then theres theres the security part, they are fixed to your bike and they are locked.. (of course if somebody wants to pry them open they can) the down side being they are harder to manage than soft bags. soft bags like you said are so easy to store and stow ....everything has its ups and downs i have not made up my mind which im going to go with yet
@michaelbrinks8089 your absolutely right sir..thats why after moving all my controls to the right side ..the extra crashbars will be my second mod ..my exhaust and cat delete was first .then radiator guard. Followed by boxes..but i wont be using cfmoto boxes..after that ill do aux fuel tank and im ready to leave hone
you need auxillary lights. i would suggest Future Eyes Aux/Fog lights, it has a wireless switch, so no additional wires will show on your handle bar. Change your lever guard from plastic to somethin more sturdy. Those hand guards that has aluminum/metal rails
other than just wanting to replace them, traction is not a problem, i run my rear at 31 and front at 32 these tires have enough traction to get it all the way over onto the shoulder of them, using all of the tire , they have decent traction .. for highway i run higher pressures for longevity , they dont have the traction of the pirelli supercorsas on my v4 but good enough for 90% of the riders out there to have fun with what this bike can deliver by way of sport riding so to speak.. i will replace mine with a slighlty more offroad oriented tire when these are done but i suspect these will last at least 5k miles(running them at these lower pressure will likely shorten their lifespan but thats ok with me, i will trade lifespan traction anyday), and like i mentioned, let some air out of them, and they are very capable in a lean, and when they slide if they are up to temp, its a gentle slide not just gone, i was able to pull it back from the slide at least 5 times in the lean..just roll gently out of the throttle a little and stand it up a bit gently...everything smoothly ...it is unsettling when you feel the tire go out from under you i wont lie...they are capable enough that i can pull away from the sport bikes in the group in the curves, within reason of course its not my v4 and it has its limitations but its fun to watch the sport bikes get smaller in the mirrors.... LOL those youngins ..they hate that (by that i mean my sons ) stay safe
It is a good looking bike, wear the tires out before replacing them unless you are doing a ton of off road riding. Have you considered guards for your guards 😉?
Nice mods, bikes looking good. The engine guards; are they cfmoto or AliExpress? If AliExpress which store did you buy from and are you happy with them. Hi from Australia 🦘
Can you tell me the link for the GOLD Oil Cap I ordered one from Aliexpresd but it’s to small of thread it was a M20 2.5 they sent me looks just like yours but to small to fit
you have to remove the front windscreen, then the lower shaded smaller windscreen under it... then you remove the vertical windscreen supports, there are four bolts, once those are off, you push in the rivets that are on top of the 12v panel cover, only pusj them in 1 click and they will release, then if you look down the inside of the 12v panel closer to the tank you will see another larger plastic push rivet, that one you must pull out on the tab, then it will come out, now the panel is loose, you have pull up gently on the front of it closer to headlight, then once the front of it is up and unlatched you can gently tug forward on the plastic panel and it will pull out, be careful because the wire connectors re mounted to a metal tab and are a bit short, dont just yank or youll pull the wires out of the connectors, also be aware of the little square shaped rubber molding that the windscreen support slides down into, it goes mounted on the plastic panel and only goes in one way. i was curious so i tore all of the panels off just to see how it was fixed,
@@anton6jrI went from an open face to a modular helmet. It made so much difference that the windshield doesn't matter much at all anymore. I leave it as low as it goes for a lower center of gravity.
@@jamiehalifax4954 good for you. Been using modular for a while and getting to use to the buffeting but sometimes it’s more than usual. For now I can tolerate it, just adjust my stance. I had mine set up to its max height.
More on Ali express than the bike cost . those engine bars look very poor the way they are designed , they will dig in and not slide ..I think the bike was better standard
Awesome mods!!! I'm taking notes for when I get my IBEX! Great video!
Looks great with all of your additions 👍🏾
Damn!!!! Your bike is looking fantastic😍 bro. Great mods indeed!!! Ride safe🙏. Cheers!!!!👍

You'll be one happy camper if you trade 👍
I order a Cfmoto 450 MT and i think many of those part would fit on that bike as well.
Veey solid mods...CF moto for the win and also Ali express 😅
Hi Jay, nice upgrades. Do you have a link for the radiator guard? Thanks!

But for security hard cases are better.
@@MJTechChannel That reminds me....I'm gonna watch a video to see how hard or easy it is to pry them open.

Cheers my friend. Regarding tyres are you thinking of going any wider? Or maintaining the same size?
The bike looks sweet

Good afternoon sir. Any way you can do a short video on removing the lower luggage racks
It’s just 3 bolts on each side
What have you used for a spark arrestor now that the cat is gone? Its a must have here in Washington.

Hi from Australia 🦘
Hello do you mean the pipes protecting the engine or the plastics? I provided links for both in the description.
Hey bro, is the lower seat comfy? How long can you ride without getting a sore bottom?
@@leoliu1419 Never had an issue and drove up to 5 hrs with it. I am picky

Hi how did you take of the panel to connect your gps holder on the 12 volt bolt? It seems complicate for me 😂😂

What happened to the GPS unit you had? I got the same one. Did it fail on you?
I like this one because it’s aimed towards adventure riding and provides exploring routes for you.
Have you installed the longer windshield? Any better than the OEM?
Just got it but haven’t tried it yet. It is installed tho
@@MJTechChannel There are several sizes , what did you get?
