ooooof. I have watched probably 20 of your videos in 2 days. Thank you. I have 2 big Dominican bachata events this weekend in NYC. Thank you for this extra confidence.
Thank you so much. Practice is indeed the key to remember these syncopations. These syncopations when done side by side in tandem is another way to get leaders and followers to remember and can serve as shines.
Excelent! Loved it. One important issue though, there is only 1 bachata, it has had a lot of evolution, and it happened in Dominican Republic. Now sensual in particular, it is not Bachata, but rather an apropriation derived from a fake Zouk, which is Brazilian Zouk. In case you didnt know Zouk is not Brazilian. The original was created in Les Antilles and Haitians have the authentic, which is danced all over the Caribbean. Brazilians, did the same as Spaniards with bachata. They invented this new zouk, and called it Brazilian because they didnt like the original. Now the are no similarities between Zouk and Brazilian Zouk. Same goes for sensual, which was invented by people that didnt like the dance, nor the music of authentic bachata
That was a really good and clear dance step video! I live in the Dominican Republic, love bachata music, and can dance basic bachata. It looks to me like you have really picked up authentic Dominican style very well. Hope to see more videos soon.
Hi Rasa, Great track, I love the music & Dominican Bachata. Iv'e just been for a month. Local dances in small towns were amazing. I'm here checking on the footwork breakdown -great as always. I'm not going to be perfect but my passion feeling are on point for that old school Dominican music. That super fast stuff is wild
@@DanceWithRasa Rice & Beans❤Yes I had a good time being shown around by an old friend. Would have liked live music & more dance though. The people are very nice.
Thanks so much for replying. Your instructions are very clear. I dance like I have two left feet and I need your help! Do you give on line lessons? With today’s technology it doesn’t matter where in the world 🌎 we are. You asked how can you help me? You can help me by me paying you for online lessons 😊. Is this possible? If it is we can work out the arrangements that work for you. I just want to learn.
I am kinda confused. The meaning of SYNCOPATION is a temporary displacement of the regular metrical accent in music caused typically by stressing the weak beat. but here I see ADDing , not shifting I as far as I know for example base line offen sincopated 1 2& ( instead of 2) - that is syncopation. 4 & 1 - cha cha One
I decide to start with dominican bachata
and I find these tutorials a very high quality ones.
That's absolutely fantastic 👏

Syncopation here is used as smth that is faster then a normal beat, so instead of 1 2 3 you have and 1 and 2 and 3 ...does that makes sence?
