They have a license to use this one. Idk the laws there but here in the us 1.75” is about the biggest legally u can get. Some NOABS have “3 inch” shells in em but when u take it apart it’s 1.75 or 2.25 and these are cakes not shells so the laws r different
You are paying a premium to skip the setup and cleanup with this cake, it costs an extra $300, but your setup and cleanup is done in 10 minutes instead of 3 hours, and you don't have to carry racks ..... not saying it's worth it, but that's the idea they are pitching when selling it.
That was a seriously badass cake man. That was a whole show in a box with a sweet grand finale. BUT Dave, you correct in the fact we would spend $600 on our choice of shells, tubes/racks and make a MUCH more badass show. BUT for someone who just wants to light one thing and have a show, that cake was badass..
Well for a one time light and how long it went for this is a pretty nice show case for how little work you had to do and not even have a licences for it.
677 USD would be about 145 x 75mm shells and then you would also be able to buy a nice 3 '' rack. So 145 x 75mm shells or this 54 shots cakebox with 45-75 mm :P (Sorry for the english :P)
I agree. It looks more like 1.4 canister shells and these effects in the video would run about $60 avg for 24 canister shells. I'll assume 4 boxes of them or 96 canister rounds total in this video. At that it should cost only $240 for all of the shells. Not sure about the rack and fusing but, that should not be more than the canisters themselves so, if you even double the price of the canisters to pay for the price of the hardware, you are still at only $480. I'm guessing the extra $197 is what they made off of labor?
@@mikea8927 The Australian government has has stuffed fireworks for us a while ago. Best to see if you can deal with a wholesaler that deals direct in chinee.
Seemed like a decent cake to me. the one draw back is no "finale" to it, so it ended pretty weak. Perhaps use it midshow or lead into the finale would be best for this cake. I'd buy one.
So basically 2', 2.5', and 3' double breaks The cake was nice and I'd hate to see what price it would command today, but it did seem to be a bunch of random color and effect shells just thrown together without any real rhyme or reason, though you would certainly be the Bell at the Ball showing up to the BBQ with that thing 😊👌
It is relative. I counted 137 mortars but i am sure i missed some. Phantom Fireworks sells a 500 gram mortar for $24 each so this cake would sell for $3,288.00. If Phantom did a buy one get one free, this cake would cost $1,644.00 dollars.
Charlie don't surf but apparently he makes fireworks in the jungles of Vietnam. That was totally awesome. Only complaint from me would be the lack of a grand finale. The breaks and tails and timing were all good.
I agree it was slow an even if the shells are different it’s still just bang bang bang bang etc with nothing to break up the monotony it just becomes boring.... A go0d cake isn’t to0 short or long and it keep you interested with every shot with low, mid an high ... this is like a slow song with different words but all the same tune/mono toned.
Depends what market it's aimed at.. In the UK I can buy 1.3 product without a license but not shells and mortars of any size. The biggest tube size I've seen in a cake is 1 1/4 inch, and 3 inch mines are available but never seen anything like this before. $677 is a lot of money, but if it was available here as a consumer product ive seen a lot worse "bang per buck"
I know lieu makes some finale cakes that are about that price but the ones I looked at were 3 in. And 2 in. And it was like 300 breaks.... But I couldn't justify spending that much on a cake that goes up in under 60 seconds
basically a show in a box. not enough variation in the effects imo, but saves a lot of setup time. may be worth it to some people for that reason alone.
For those of you who want comment on how much they cost its hard to find out the real cost. First that price is not out line since most of us are not allowed to process 1.3 stuff
A True Wisconsinite a salute it's the shell with a quick white flash and a small break as in it doesn't explode that big but they are alot louder than the bigger ones just look up "titanium salutes" on TH-cam u can find videos of them.
A True Wisconsinite no problem I've always loved those but for years I never knew what to look up to find out what they were called and one day I came across them on accident so I was pretty happy. Just trying to help people out
A True Wisconsinite, sorry I didn't answer you I just saw this, im all over the place so sorry. there are two kinds of salutes, one with just flash and one with titanium, titanium gives it a white glittery flash, and regular salute is just a flash b4 the loud noise hits, if you love noise then salutes are for you.
Insane price but performance was decent. I believe red pearl brand is also made by Charlie's factory, I have seen some of their consumer stuff for sale before.
Should have spread it out more in the beginning and build up only at the end to make it last a lot longer. But still too expensive per break, and I don't think you can see 168 with what's coming out of that box, more like 150.
How many people are actually out paying almost 700 dollars on one cake firework? There wasn’t even any cake???? Lol sorry had to add a terrible dad joke to add to yours lol. Great vid!
I could see paying that if you could get some nice cakes thrown in with it or have a pair of Ammo Crates going off behind it. That would really set it off.
i get were its not worth 677.00 because of its lack luster performance but did you honestly think a show piece would be good without its other brothers and sisters?
677 U.S. dollars to have it shipped within days to a local spot sounds great! That's a good mid-finale or finale piece where I live. Just add few large breaks at the end , maybe some 2" salutes quick fused. Laws in this state are crazy even if you obey them to a T!
did anyone count the breaks? maybe it was the # on the box from charlies factory but watching the shells, just seemed like more breaks then what was on box description.
The packaging and appearance of the product was poor looked like it was gonna fall apart 677 bucks could've got some 3's and 4's along with some color display
Maaaaan that cake is no where near worth almost 700 dollars!??? Maybe 400. I could honestly see someone paying 400 for that maybe even 450 cause they were pretty big breaks. Though there wasnt that many effects? As much as I like peonies and chrysanthemums I wanna see some Willows in there maybe some Palms a Saturn Ring or 2 ya know? I mean hey don't get me wrong that was awesome! But not for that price.. The Salutes were a nice touch though. I did like how they scattered a few of those in there.
Love your videos but, could you get your perspective back a bit? It would be nice to see all of every shell even including the ground a bit so we can judge the altitude of the bursts. Maybe another 150' - 200' back or so with no zoom, world work awesome! Something to try. Maybe have someone with one of your cameras on a tripod do this as an experiment to see how it looks? Stay safe and out of the danger zone. Peace brother and God bless.
Meanwhile Ill get metioned in the paper as a criminal when I have 2" shells in the netherlands..
DutchClawz ook met 1" toch?
GOD BLESS AMERICA

losi8ightyew I agree 600 price tag isn't bad and it lasted pretty long so yeah that was well worth it and that's an easy clean up
exactly
$600 retail or wholesale?
$500 Would've been a fair price...$677 Way too much!
The finale has a couple single shots.... lol
It's worth it here in Holland, awesome cake!
Grafzaaiers haha inderdaad
Grafzaaiers precies man
je kunt ook zelf vuurwerk maken.
let
wel
op
dat is niet legaal
goed dat je t ff meld..
Grafzaaiers Graftak
677 without a license might be worth it.
True but still a lot. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money like that to fuck off I would lol
Flyin Mikey well i buyed for 150 without licence a lot better cat 4 or 3 yes i know cat 4 is with licence but they sold it for us btw. CZECH REPUBLIC
Flyin Mikey dont you need a license for 1.3 cakes
Kenny Chea not if you know the right ppl
Flying Mikey were can you get 5 inch without license??
I can save money by switching my insurance to Geico
$15 a shot that even more than phantoms "3 in finales"
Could have bought 677$ worth of three's and had a way better showing
or you could have bought 3 cases of excals and fused them all together at once.
john walters no you wouldn't
john walters or spend that 677 on a shit load of firecrackers and wick them all together and piss off everyone in the neighborhood
john walters yes
Well for a one time light and how long it went for this is a pretty nice show case for how little work you had to do and not even have a licences for it.
I can get a cheesecake at Costco for under $10.
And a rotisserie chicken for 7. A banger of a night.
Hahaha
Now, THAT'S what I'm talking about!
it seems to me it was lit backwards I could be wrong...at 600 something that is extremely over priced ..but as way thanks for sharing the video
677 USD would be about 145 x 75mm shells and then you would also be able to buy a nice 3 '' rack. So 145 x 75mm shells or this 54 shots cakebox with 45-75 mm :P (Sorry for the english :P)
I would say its worth it, if you have the money for it that is. Great cake!
BooXwee I Shoot ten of them a night off the roof of my Ferrari garage!!!
Cntct me i can gv u in 50% discount..

You could probably get that thing sold for $1000... in sweden :L
I can provide u in 120$
aint you the server admin or murrtopolis?
A company in their price list has 72 3" shells for $170 to $300. I suppose someone has to try it out.
Where can I find these type of prices at? I'm paying 720 for a case of 3" coconuts.

damn its like world war at the background
This was a lot better than it was made out to be. Great for people looking to have some fun without the setup though.
Where can I buy this cake then? I want this! I like this cake so much
In my opinion this cake is perfect for wedding party ;)
what, was there an overabundance of orange leftover that the manufacturer had to use up?
cake packed a good punch but I didn't realize it cost that much! It was awsome getting to see it in person. the open shoot was a BLAST!
Nice cake, How many shots and what inch?
Sounds like decent size and power shells popping out of tubes. Could have been better but its definitely not bad.
Did you need a permit or special permission to get this box ...?? And if not where did you order it from..????
I'll take 2. plus 100$ tip
Contact me I can gv u 50% discount on this...
@@thedesimemers-vy1ntdon't you have some telemarketer scams to be running?😂🤣😂

OMG😱 them big loud bang in the back round when setting up the cake, sound so amazing💣💥🎆🎇
Yeah...what were they letting off...????
How do they get away with selling that many grams in 1 package? I thought you could only have 500grams per fuse?
Stryker Stryker it’s 1.3 need a firework license
I'd TOTALLY pay $150 for that... but I'm also very cheap and don't really know 1.3 prices.
It is relative. I counted 137 mortars but i am sure i missed some. Phantom Fireworks sells a 500 gram mortar for $24 each so this cake would sell for $3,288.00. If Phantom did a buy one get one free, this cake would cost $1,644.00 dollars.

For that price i can buy a lot of good 4",5" and 6 inch shells to make amazing show ;) Greatings Dave !
Defiantly worth $677. I would pay that any day for that cake.
A whole case of excals are $280 about which comes with 4 boxes of excals that would've been a lot better and a lot cheaper
Never they'd go half as high and have a small break compared to this
Brandon Aguilar actually I can get a case for 140
I seem 1700 Excalibur shells go off at once and i was not that impressed. I'd put Black Widow shells made by RGS against Excals any day.
Penal Mass Ejection I agree on so many levels all these wanna be pyros jump on the cal band wagon

I want the name of this cake, where can I pick it up
Does it still belongs to the 1.3G category? even with a random salute in it?
Where can I buy same thing at?

nice cake I can see myself paying 400 for it not a penny more and I only saw one salute come out, so that kind of turned me off.
Benny Cruz what's a salute?

It was a nice cake, but your right the price is way to high. Maybe if it was around $350 or $400.
2:12 RIP everyones ears for miles
Some of the shots were peanuts?
Looks good to me. A complete fireworks show in a box.
These are all gonna max at 500 gram right? So what’s the point in spending so much on what just appears to be a bigger cake.
Btw I am new to learning these rules. But I thought 500 gram was max for a consumer cake
what's the name of the cake?
How many people are actually out paying almost 700 dollars on one cake firework? There wasn’t even any cake???? Lol sorry had to add a terrible dad joke to add to yours lol. Great vid!
I have access to 3 inch mortars 26 for 200$ way bigger and go about 250ft
Dave what was the price of the cake
fredo51 thanks
Don’t know why they took it out of the box, it was pretty much holding it together
For sure should of been better for what they said it cost, but like you say in your description it's a matter of opinion
That's worth it your trippin
Right wtf, this was good
It's really not, for example you can buy 144 4 inch shells plus a case of thunderkings for 700 dollars at my distributor.
I’d say $300 would be a fair price that ANY one would be happy with.
What's the issue?
54 shots of 3" for 700$? Even if its the only thing left in the store, I won't touch it.
In Norway that cake would cost the doubble
which shop ?
I could see paying that if you could get some nice cakes thrown in with it or have a pair of Ammo Crates going off behind it. That would really set it off.
This really just comes down to lack of variety. Pacing was good, and break sizes weren't all that bad.
i get were its not worth 677.00 because of its lack luster performance but did you honestly think a show piece would be good without its other brothers and sisters?
it’s really beautiful cake and very loud one. but that two bangs is a professional display shell. i like it.
holy cow a whole show in one cake!
677 U.S. dollars to have it shipped within days to a local spot sounds great! That's a good mid-finale or finale piece where I live. Just add few large breaks at the end , maybe some 2" salutes quick fused. Laws in this state are crazy even if you obey them to a T!
For $677.00 it's a bit pricey, but it was a good colorful aerial show.
did anyone count the breaks? maybe it was the # on the box from charlies factory but watching the shells, just seemed like more breaks then what was on box description.
I tried to count and got 180 but i could have been off by a few.
good thing he has a safety vest and hardhat
I mean. That was a lot of heavy hitting shells just pre-made and ready to go.
Honestly, this cake is just random effects slapped in some tubes. It could be manufactured better.
Looked pretty good to me. I did a 60.00 cake that was about one tenth of that so money wise it was worth it overall.
Excaliburs are 350 a box on Hawaii I would totally buy that cake for 677 if you wouldn’t mind
The packaging and appearance of the product was poor looked like it was gonna fall apart 677 bucks could've got some 3's and 4's along with some color display
It costs $650 for a case of 200g cakes in HI :/
I thought they were ok, not a consumer fireworks lover, but they seemed to be nice from what I saw.
NICE CAKE BUT "sorry Charlie !"
For $677 I don’t think that was a bad show. I’d buy it.
My home town pay 10-15k every year for fireworks and this was way better than anything they have ever done!!
Simply Amazing ..That one dude sound like Steve Wilkos😂😂
54 shots for $700? That's seems pretty steep
700 bucks worth of canister and ball shells wouldn’t get you anywhere close to that. I’d buy it in a heartbeat!
Lol I can buy a case of 288 salutes for 301$😂🗣️
ilove that cake its just like fireworks display
Maaaaan that cake is no where near worth almost 700 dollars!??? Maybe 400. I could honestly see someone paying 400 for that maybe even 450 cause they were pretty big breaks. Though there wasnt that many effects? As much as I like peonies and chrysanthemums I wanna see some Willows in there maybe some Palms a Saturn Ring or 2 ya know? I mean hey don't get me wrong that was awesome! But not for that price.. The Salutes were a nice touch though. I did like how they scattered a few of those in there.
It looked pretty good to me too
Love your videos but, could you get your perspective back a bit? It would be nice to see all of every shell even including the ground a bit so we can judge the altitude of the bursts. Maybe another 150' - 200' back or so with no zoom, world work awesome! Something to try. Maybe have someone with one of your cameras on a tripod do this as an experiment to see how it looks? Stay safe and out of the danger zone. Peace brother and God bless.
I dont like your title. It's a great product.
But now it looks as if the whole thing is bad. The price might just be.
Those were not very good shells. Basic stars and none of the high end breaks, but still fun to look at.
54shots is like 500+?
