  • Both combatants are girls with giant hammers who have a motif of speed (Via Subspace and Nora's Semblance), and serve as the love interest for a guy whose personality is the opposite of their own (The cooler and reserved Ramona Flowers is in love with the awkward and dorkier Scott Pilgrim while the extroverted and energetic Nora is in love with the quiet and stoic Lie Ren). Both originate from series that reference other mediums heavily (Scott Pilgrim takes cues from video games while RWBY alludes to fairy tales), and both shows take place in worlds where everyone has odd powers and can fight. Both series also got anime adaptations on streaming services (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off on Netflix and RWBY: Ice Queendom on Crunchyroll).
Both have a troubled past (Ramona having a VERY complicated and unhappy history with relationships, while Nora and Ren were the sole survivors of a Nucklavee razing their hometown, which Nora was an orphan in to begin with). Both act as the muscle in their respective groups, have dealt with the loss of someone close to them (Ramona believed Scott was dead because of her in Takes Off, before realizing he was in fact alive, and Nora... well, take your pick, Pyrrha, Penny, and later thinking Team RWBY and Jaune were dead too).
Their personalities differ, as mentioned above, Ramona is usually more calm and collected while Nora is... not that. At all. However, both hide quite a great deal of anguish under their demeanors, for reasons listed above. What's more, Ramona had 7 other relationships before she met Scott, while Nora's only ever had eyes for Ren since they were children. Both also get interpreted as transgender by fans (Ramona because her choice of clothing and her painted hair resonates with queer viewers while Nora's outfit in later volumes has the color palette of a trans pride flag). This even extends to those they care about as Scott and Team JNPR have gotten trans interpretations in their respective fandoms as well.
Scott Pilgrim belongs to Brian Lee O'Malley, Oni Press, Netflix
    RWBY belongs to Viz Media
Death Battle belongs to Death Battle

That said, Ramona doesn't have electric attacks (Though in a hypothetical fight, maybe Nora can get an electric boost from some other source)
