Haha so basically just a visual check list. I thought they would at least do a compression check on engine. One of the biggest checks some can do is a physical check to see if the miles have been tampered with.

Also forgot to mention check chassis rails/frame rails where the indents are to see if there is any bending. I got screwed over with my lexus is300.
How did you get that sorted? Was a repair possible? U still use the vehicle?
Bonet replaced . No hood carpet underneath the bonnet. Plz make a chasis inspection video plz....

Good video, informative. I do have a question, I bought a 2015 prius v wagon certified last week, today I looked under the rear of the vehicle and there is no plastic cover under there where I think one looks like it goes , like around the shipping bracket etc and by the spare tire area that hangs down, it looks bare under there.? thanks

@@hbarudi Well, it’s going to take a while to explain, but the short version is that there’s twice the amount of things to go wrong on a hybrid then a gas car. So getting one out of warranty is obviously a bad idea.

Man this inspection is way too picky. In my country witch is Canada all they inspected on my car was the following.
Windows for cracks
Wipers
Seatbelts have to work
Horn
All electronics have to work
Turn signals plus hazard lights
Condition of tires
Suspension
Brakes
Visual checks under the hood
And that’s about it all they are looking for is safety items and anything that would prevent the car from operating properly.
Imagine that. Its almost like its a used car and not everything on it will be in perfect condition. Almost explain why used vehicles are so much cheaper. If you want every little thing in perfect condition, you're already at a dealership. Go to the new lot.
@@Smi77y55well, if the vehicle was in an accident, mere visual inspections don't say much. If transmission oil hasn't been replaced and trany busted, that's a 5k repair. If the odo has been tampered, it's a lemonade car. Those are some IMPORTANT things to check on a used car. Not everyone has the Dollar bag for a new car
