Hi Archer, your videos are awesome! Every tip and technique really helps in every way. Currently making SACE Stage 1 Subject selections and you're helping me make more informed decisions! Thanks for being so genuine in the way you introduce techniques like the Kolb's Cycle
Hey Archer, great video! It's insane how underrated you are, the amount of effort you put into your videos is insane. I definitely think you're gonna have a larger audience someday, you deserve it! So I tried making a mind-map of everything that was mentioned in the video. I just want to confirm what the sequence of studying is: Inquiry based learning -> mind mapping the conceptual ideas -> Exam/Practice problems (aided with kolbs). Is this correct?
Hehe first! Physics was my best subject in A Levels too! And wow I'm surprised that your last name is actually Newton. I thought it's just a sort of "online name"
i haven't done legal studies so probably not, but the same techniques can usually be applied - maybe check out my video on studying for english :) th-cam.com/video/66pvVVw26zE/w-d-xo.html
Hey Archer! I have seen a ton of your videos and they are really really helpful, so thank you so much!!! I just would like some advice on one thing that is not related to studies. I mean, in high school studies aren't the only things one has to stress about. There are other things and if I am specific, overthinking and bullies. Now a few of my classmates (kinda friends of mine) sometimes bully me, not anything serious but just light-hearted ones since they know I am easy to pick on. I KNOW THEY DON'T MEAN IT. I JUST KNOW IT. But after school ends, these things still stay on my mind because I am an overthinker with a hella sensitive personality (a Pisces basically). This sometimes ends up affecting my studies cuz I am an A+ student and strive to study everyday. So my question to you, If you were to give me any advice, what would it be. Maybe not specifically to my situation but in general. How to not stress out about things that I KNOW aren't gonna matter in 2 or fewer years time??? Please please please repllyyy
Hi Gaurika, thank you so much for your kind comment! I think a lot of high achievers experience some sort of teasing for their grades and yes it can be light-hearted but it can still have an impact. It really depends how you want to deal with it, but you could join in on the jokes as well. If they are friends of yours, you could mention to them how it makes you feel. If you don't feel comfortable saying anything that's ok too, just remember that you're probably where they want to be and they're making fun of you because it makes them feel better about themselves. Everyone is insecure about something! It's hard but try not to overthink it, they probably don't even remember saying it so don't take it personally. Success is usually lonely but that's what it takes, I really hope that helps! :)
hi, would you be interested in having online tuition? i myself is masters in aerospace engineering and Bachelors in mechanical engineering. I've been teaching physics for more than 10 years.
I just started year 11 physics, going into term 2 soon and I feel worried about year 12. Right now i find physics ATAR pretty easy and am getting 85% and got 97% on my last test. But i fear thats its going to get much harder later on as thats what my teacher says. Im top of the class currently so my friends get mad if i talk about my fear for next year as they're doing worse. So just wondering how did you find the difficulty jump from Year 11 to year 12.
Hi, I'm in Queensland Australia and I'm using the QCAA atar curriculum. For me personally, year 11 physics is extremely easy and I got perfect grade (I was the top in my school for physics- physics subject award) and even got 100% on the final exam in yr11. However, the thing was that I never actually liked yr11 physics and was always more interested in yr12 physics and its contents, so i also studied it before we start the actual content. I find it very intuitive if you have a full grasp of the concept, and in order to understand it well, you just have to learn it and do it for a long time. So i recommend just keep doing practice problems and keep learning ahead of the class to do well in yr12 physics, its not that much harder trust me!

You kept saying don’t take linear notes, what should we do instead? For example, what do we do when the teacher is telling us info, or when we’re reading through the textbook?
Hey mate, I'm currently in grade 12 QCE and I was wondering whether you would recommend any physics or chemistry university textbooks as I want to do further reading on some subjects?
I lost 1 mark on internals because my teacher th9ught one of my improvments was too vague and i could have had a specific type of device not just magnetometer 😭 a whole mark
Hey Archer. Alright so my question to you is was there a study platform that you used for revision? Like Kahoot or Quizlet or some other interactive revision platform? Regards Archer! Stay Safe.
hey Ethan! it really depends what your goal of revision is, if you have facts that you need to learn Anki can be useful but now I more focus on understanding and note rote-learning :)
Giancoli is imo the best entry-level physics-book if you still need some advice:) It can carry one from high-school physics up to almost all undergraduate (experimental) physics classes in university
Hello Archer, could you please tell me what university textbook you used? Thanks, it'd be really helpful to me. I'm currently a year 10 student and I'm doing physics next year.
What a legend. Great vid man!
Thank you so much!!

Oh I completely missed this message! Thanks so much Savannah, I'm so glad to hear that these tips have had an impact and have helped out!
Thank you for elaborating on the parts you covered in the maths video, so we could apply it to physics. Amazing content, keep it up!
Thank you so much, means a lot!!

Hey how can i manage time while doing physics prob, since i wish i should complete within 1mint , it' mandatory mainly on my exm day!
Hello, I’m really struggling to make notes I’m just not sure how to structure them, do you have any advice

other way round for me, year 11 physics I didn't care and did poorly on every sac and now in year 12 I've gotten over 90 on every sac
I struggle at physics assignments, i want to talk about the way to get all A's in rubric so that i can get an A+ in physics.
What subjects did you do in Year 12 Archer?

@@alanlikescubing2438 where did you get the three from?

Hey mate, I'm currently in grade 12 QCE and I was wondering whether you would recommend any physics or chemistry university textbooks as I want to do further reading on some subjects?
It's probably best to look at your preferred uni and find the textbook that they recommend for first year physics or chem :)
If you’re not on 49/50 for the internals give up
I lost 1 mark on internals because my teacher th9ught one of my improvments was too vague and i could have had a specific type of device not just magnetometer 😭 a whole mark
Did you take extension math or advanced for year 11 and 12? What would you recommend taking if your doing physics?
I did the highest level maths :) I also did this with physics

hey archer i'm finally in year 12 and I need some tips for my chem and physics practicals and SHE. thanks

Can I get A* in A2 even though I got B in phy AS.??

Can you please make a video on research investigation ?
What sort of details would you want me to cover?
Do you have any guides for entrance exams for selective achools?
when reading or hearing 'Newton's Laws' did you ever thought it was you or its referring to you
ahahah i wish
can you go into more depth on mind mapping
Agreed 👍
Better to learn physics from descendants of Newton himself XD

you can try jacaranda or A+ or pearson, i personally prefer A+. im doing hsc so it can be different from urs, but i believe jacaranda is vce

hahaha maybe
