I have pair of tuxedo cats. They are very mild mannered, good natured, calm, Smart and very attached to their humans. A lot of vets seem to agree with this.

adopted our 4 year old tuxedo 3 months ago - he taught me how to play his version of hide & seek (& attack) by hiding behind doors and batting at me as i come near & then he insists it's my turn to go behind the door with a toy (or my hand) and let him bat at it from the outside🤣
I have a tuxedo cat named Milo. He is very smart, vocal and sweet. He knocks the door and wakes me up by meowing at exactly 7 am in the morning. He kinda acts like a baby sometimes like sitting in my lap and watching youtube videos of birds and rats.
My tuxedo cat is very smart, he always comes when his name is called, he can open doors and he's INCREDIBLY vocal. I always say hes more like a dog than a cat
Mine is vocal. She wasn’t at first but I talked up a storm to her and now she only shuts up if she is playing with wand or laser. It’s cute, I love her different sounds.
My tuxie has a perfect V shaped white marking on her chest that thins out to her tummy making it look like she has a little cardigan on, and between her legs she has a paw print shaped white mark 🤍🤍🤍
My tuxedo cat Alex, shown in the pic, is scary smart. I watched him as he figured out how to open the hall closet, then somehow navigated to the third shelf to retrieve his toy. You can almost see the cogs turning in his brain as he works things out. I can't believe he was a shelter cat who waited six weeks for me to come along and adopt him. He's definitely a keeper for me!
Everyone seems to have the same opinion on Tuxedos...and I agree. Mine is named Fooie and man is she smart...kinda scares me sometimes. Lives by the clock, I swear she can tell time. Affectionate, loves her belly rubbed, opens cabinets and I think she was a gymnast on her previous life lol.. love that little girl !

A little time story about my tuxedo cat. I never had a dream for having a cat coz my neighbor's cat (his name is Jolly) is always come here and everytime he wanted to come, i always feed him. One day, there's a heavy 🌧️. I heard a noise outside our house. I found out that jolly came with a tuxedo kitten. You know superstition about having a black cat, right? You have a bad luck. But i didn't hesitate to picked the little kitten coz she's wet. She's so pity. So, decided to picked her and clean it. I asked my neighbors here if they have lost a kitten they replied to me "no". Then i decided to adopt her. She's so smart, playful, she don't want to sleep without me. Thank God that i have a tuxedo cat. 🥰 I'm so blessed. 2 months for having with me. ♥️
I have a Tuxedo cat named "Freckles" because he has a black spot next to his nose, and the tip of one half of his nose is black. He talks to me A LOT. The Tux I had for 20 years was more manipulative rather than smarter than other cats. She knew how to get her way. She didn't mind having people around, but she had a jealous streak that wouldn't quit when it came to other cats. She also tended to be a bully towards other cats.
i made friends with a wild tuxedo cat within a week, hes a really good boy and knows his surroundings very well, i really wanna take him home hes the sweetest thing ever
That "not a tuxedo cat" was a house shorthair cow cat. Cats with the cow cat pattern are also known as: moo cats, reverse tuxies, magpie cats, or black&white harlequin cats.
I adopted one 5 days ago. I got him because he was so affectionate and still is. Like any cat, he’s moody after the vacuum and stuff, but he gets over it quickly. 5 months and so far doesn’t chew wires or destroy anything so fingers crossed.
I recently lost my tuxedo cat, Buddy. It was about a month ago and I'm still learning to cope and ended up here:) He was certainly an interesting cat, he was never quiet, even at the end. He also rarely played and would just stare at you if you tried to do anything. He never bit anyone but he did have an issue of if you scratched a spot he liked, he'd use his claws to keep your hand there. I still have scars from January lol. He was more intelligent than most cats I've met, even when he was young. He loved hunting and would bring back a lot of "presents" for us to clean up, most of the time they were alive though. He loved cuddling to the point that if you were sitting with your knees to your chest, he would still find a way to get on your lap. We never found out what he was but my main theory is a maine coon/turkish angora, he had the silhouette of a maine cook while sitting but the body of an angora when he was moving, plus his face shape was very reminiscent of an angora. I know no one asked for an info dump but I needed to talk about the small things he did to someone that didn't know him, all of my friends and family have heard me talk about him and it's painful to bring it up sometimes since he was my first ever pet, he lived to 15, almost 16.
I have 2 Tuxedo cats. They’re highly intelligent, clumsy, and fun. They like to maintain close relationship with people without any fear. All cats are beautiful but Tuxedos are more handsome ☺️
With my parents. They had a very cute tuxedo kitty cat that adopted after they retired from teaching. I even being a buddy towards the cat when he was a stray hanging around the house and garage. I did lived with the cat a few months. Then I moved with my sister back to the town that I grew up in. She gotten a cute tuxedo Manx kitten. He was a beautiful cat and every time I petted him. His fur was liked silky. I even have a friend that used to have one, too. That one was so sweet and friendly, too.
I have orange tabby tuxedo cat, and yes she is more intelligent than other cats I have in the house. when she was 2 months old stray kitten, she roamed in our neighborhood to the next block asked people to feed her and come back without lost. It was dangerous so we decided to put her inside our house. she has her own world, she doesn't needy, doesn't need petting and cuddles, confident ( she likes to sit and sleep in the center of the room), very social, doesn't scare of other cats, knows the concept hide and seek almost like dogs. and she is just turn 6 months old now and already smarter than the older cats.
I have owned a few cats over my lifetime they were mostly loners but when I finally got a tuxedo cat I immediately noticed a difference My Tuxedo cat is the most loving, kind and affectionate cat I've had in my lifetime.
My tuxedo cat was a little stray that was hanging around my sister's apartment. It was so tiny and skinny, plus it was winter time so I was determined to catch her. It took a month. I had no idea what 'tuxedo cats' were until after I got her. She has been such a joy and I love all her little typical tuxedo cats quirks!
I've got a beautiful tuxedo cat called Lenny, very smart, loving and vocal🥰!!! His got this trick where he flicks a hair band into the air with his paw and then chases after it🥰🥰. Adorable 🥰🥰🥰 .
I have a brown tabby cat named Hershey, and a Russian blue cat named Shadow, and sometimes I like to refer to Hershey as Figaro because they are both playful and cuddly, and Shadow as Sylvester because both their names start with "S".
I have a Tuxedo boy and a Bengal boy! They are both very smart and insanely sweet :) My Tuxedo boy can't jump as high but both want food all the time if they aren't hunting for cuddles.
My beautiful tuxie is a very anxious and needy kitty....she really gets nervous when it rains....and it rains ALOT in Charlotte, NC!! So we always share hours of lap time on stormy days!
I have a medium hair Tuxedo named Henry I found him on gumtree and when I was looking at his photos I started crying because I knew he was the cat for me so my partner bought him for me and the next week we made the long trek to the owners and swept him away back to mine to his new happy home. Henry turns 2 years old in a months time and I've had him for just over 1 ½ years 🥳 he's the most intelligent cat I've ever met and has a big personality. He learnt at a young age how to unlock his cat flap so he can escape at night time.. So we've had to try a fair amount of tricks to keep him from unlocking it. Our latest idea was to duct tape his catflap shut, so far It's working but he's now starting to pull it off every night so we've now added a second piece to the outside and its keeping him in 😐 but in saying this he's now bloody figuring out how to open our screen door by reaching for the handle? Henry's also quite chatty he's also very loving and loves having his belly rubbed and will sleep on his back and with me every night 🙂 he also gets into the bed and under the covers when my partner stays over, he also knows the words dinner, dinner time, treat and no. Henry's also the first cat that's wanted to follow me everywhere including my shower time, toilet time and when I'm doing my make-up he jumps into my bathroom sick and loafs in there? He's really social with my friends loves to come say hello and hang out with them and always seems to appear from no where when they're around + he hangs out with nearly all my neighbour's cat's during the day they have cat meetings and playdates in my yard and our street. I'm really glad I found Henry I truly believe we we're meant to find eachother, he's my 3rd cat and my favourite I've ever owned 🥰 So here's to Tuxedo Cat's the most intelligent and mischievous cat's you'll ever meet!
My tuxedo is super vocal and id say shes very smart i have taught her things that people teach dogs to do like sit, up *stand on hind legs*, down *lay down*, and paw *she gives me her paw and we bacicly shake hands/paws* but i am glad to see things that i didnt know about tuxedos and this vid was cool to watch!
One of my family’s cats was a cow cat (mostly white with two big black spots on her back, a tiny black spot on her back paw, and a fully black tail). I remember my grandpa saying that one day, my sister and I would end up owning a “Dalmatian cat” simply because we loved 101 Dalmatians at the time! Wouldn’t you know it? About six years later, we camped in Indiana and found a stray “Dalmatian kitten!” She was about eight weeks old, literally let us sit her in our bike baskets so we could take her to our camper and show her to our mom. Our mom didn’t approve of her and said she had to sleep outside. If she stayed at our camper over the whole weekend, we could take her home. It was sunny, so this wasn’t a fully cruel request. Like the loyal “dog” she was, she stayed and we took her home! We named her Dottie Lick because she had spots and licked us like a doggie would! She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 29th, 2021. She was about 18 years old. A great kitty she was! Maybe not a tuxedo, but a truly amazing black and white cat! I will soon be adopting a new kitten from a distant brother on my mom’s side of the family. He simply refuses to spay and neuter his cats so they breed constantly. Once they’re old enough and he can’t find adopters, he drops them off at the SPCA. Because of this, I feel honored to be rescuing one. There is one tuxedo ginger tabby, a solid ginger tabby, a dilute ginger tabby, and one black one with just a hint of white on its face and feet. He doesn’t know how to sex them at birth and the mother cat hides them, so he can’t get too close. I want a female, but if they all end up being male, then that’s okay too! I can’t wait until they’re old enough so I can meet them and pick the one I want!
That's so great! Make sure to deworm him though, to keep things safe! And are you sure he's a feral cat? Maybe he's just a stray cat (feral cats are so unused to human presence they can't be domesticated)
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos He's most likely feral or he has an entire family that was lost because he seems to be in a feral cat colony of 5 other look-alikes who show no such friendliness towards humans. Even the one that came to me used to run if I came too close while eating.
My tuxie Zeytin( which means olive in Turkish) is so smart and adorable. She comes over me when l call her name from another room. She is so curious about the world around her, always listen and watch every each voice and image. She is very friendly as well ( always like to say hi to my guests by smelling their feet 😆) And extremely playfull which makes me crazy especially at night when everybody is sleeping (until l hide her toy under my pillow🤫).
My tuxedo cat is very laid back and calm. He let's his tabby cat sister do all the work and he enjoys the benefits. He is not overly friendly or needy. But my other cat is. So that could be why he hangs back. He does love to play.
I used to have a tuxedo cat in the early to mid 00s named lucky. boy, did she have a personality and was found on the streets on New York. She was labeled as having “behavioral problems” but she was a sweet little thing (despite preferring the couch to her scratching boards). Don’t know if she’s still alive, but if so, she’d be at least 16 years old.
My daughter and I found a kitten sick ,skinny and stray ! So of course we brought him home ,yes the kitten is. A male and an adorable Tuxedo kitten ! We took him to vet and got him medicine and dewormed ! And food he has grown some and putting on some weight ! He is sooo darn cute and adorable ! My daughter named him SYLVESTER ( for the cartoon 🐈⬛ cat SYLVESTER THE CAT !) HE HAS a forever home with us !
I have a tuxedo named Max and he's very calm, sweet, independent and playful. He's a big foodie and is just a tiny bit chunky, as opposed to my other black and white, harlequin type cat who is super small. What's weird is that they eat the exact same amount every day and the little guy, Chibi probably weighs thirty percent less than Max. I love them both so much!
I want to have a tuxedo cat. They look so elegant and sophisticated, and they're said to be curious, fun loving and very affectionate much like dogs. Some more famous tuxedo cats include: - Penelope Pussycat (also from Looney Tunes, the cat who is always being chased by Pepe Le Pew) - Pussyfoot (also from Looney Tunes, a cute kitten who befriends a bulldog) - Tom (from Tom and Jerry, a unique tuxedo cat as he's grey instead of black) - Blaze the Cat (from Sonic the Hedgehog, she's also another unique tuxie since she's purple) - Mittens (from Bolt) - Kitty Softpaws (from the Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots)
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos Not a problem. :) Also, with the belief that tuxedo cats have magical powers, that can be seen in Blaze, because she possesses fire powers and can harness the Sol Emeralds of her dimension to transform into her super form Burning Blaze. ;)
I've had a lot of cats in my 62 years. I must say that my tuxedo cat is probably the smartest. If she wants something such as food or if she want the bedroom door opened she will not leave you a lone until you follow her.
I had a black and white kitten . She was very intelligent , smart , clean and tidy, energetic ,with sweet voice . She knows her name well. I will give her100 out of 100 marks. Unfortunately ,she leave us on 4th April 2021 😔
My parents had a cute tuxedo cat named BC. He was a funny cat. Even my sister had a beautiful tuxedo Manx cat named Taboo. I even helped her to raised Taboo from kitten to adult cat. My parents did know me and even did liked to played with me.
I have a Maine Coon tux, he’s a big boy, an affectionate snuggler and pure joy. Which reminds that you should add Bustofer Jones, the well dressed cat about town from Old Possums book of Practical Cats.
I never knew there was a genetic difference between tuxedo cats and other black-and-white cats - very interesting! Also cool to learn that both of my kitties are "tuxedo" cats, even though one of them is almost completely black except for a little tighty-whitey underpants marking on his lower belly.
My Timmy is a true Tuxedo Kitty, very handsome, plus he has extra toes, I call them thumbs. My darling female black & white is not a Tuxedo kitty, just a beautiful Black & White kitty. They are so darling, I love Tuxedo kitties and Black & White kitties. ❤
My tuxedo cats name is Neeko! Half of his face is black and other half is white, he looks exactly like the phantom Of the opera. I suffer from depression and he knows when I’m sad. He will crawl on my belly and will bring his pet mouse and rub against my face to wipe my tears. He knows how to open doors and always has to be the center of the party when company is around. He’s my best friend for sure
I have 2 tuxedo cats, mother and daughter. The daughter drinks by using her paws and she uses her paws by opening the doors. She jumps on the refridgerator and mother learns from her.
I just got a tux today, her name is Kiki (based on Kiki’s Delivery Service), and she is such a sweetie pie. I didn’t have time to set up a separate area in my house for her, so when I let her out of the carrier she knew her way around the living room immediately, and currently has competition for the other 2 cats in my house. Her nickname is also Rattles, because she ate a dead rattlesnake since she was a stray who was starving, 8 months old kitty cat and I’m happy to care for her
Don't get me wrong, I love tuxedo cats, I have a gorgeous tuxedo tabby myself! But I don't think their coat pattern dictates what kind of personality they have, that's normally down to what breed they are! 😺
I would like to add Mr. Mistoffelees to your list of famous tuxies. He’s the magical cat from the Broadway musical Cats. My cat is a total Mistoffelees too; he’s very good at apparating from no where, and disapparating with a glance. He also reads minds.
Igot two tuxedo cats n one is the one i take care of , he's name is bob n he's amazingly intelligent! Like he even lying down while making the sad face whenever he did smthing wrong 🥺 he also good with bathing n not mad at all
Sandy, my friend's tuxedo cat, was highly neurotic. He hated being held or touched and he was always getting into trouble. My friend would curse when Sandy would leap up into a hole in the ceiling (from a table or chair) and stay up in the attic space. That area was inaccessible to people and maybe that was why Sandy kept going there. Sadly, one day my friend noticed Sandy was very still on the bed. Yes, he was dead. [end of story]
I have a tuxedo that was born on June 2019. He paws at me like trying to return the pets I give him. I don't think he's very smart though. Gets himself injured quite often.
AII CATS ARE ADORABLE ! Whatever their breed ! I love cats ! I have 4 cats now, my daughter and I found a kitten 🐈⬛ a TUXEDO KITTEN ! He has beautiful green eyes ,they may become more yellow or lime green as he grows older ! His name is SYLVESTER as in “SYLVESTER THE CAT” he has a forever home with us ! If he chooses you don’t own a cat they Own you !

My tuxedo’s intelligence keeps increasing. He’s now learned how to untie knots!🤦🏽♀️ I fcking love this kid! 🤣♥️
I own 3 tuxedos
A big and beautiful family :)
I own two,I should say my wife ,and myself belong to two tuxedo cats 😁
Just adopted a male kitten tux from food corner, he's so smart and friendly on first day at home.
I adopted one 5 days ago. I got him because he was so affectionate and still is. Like any cat, he’s moody after the vacuum and stuff, but he gets over it quickly. 5 months and so far doesn’t chew wires or destroy anything so fingers crossed.
I miss this cat tuxedo! Rip Nuri
I recently lost my tuxedo cat, Buddy. It was about a month ago and I'm still learning to cope and ended up here:)
He was certainly an interesting cat, he was never quiet, even at the end.
My tuxedo cat likes to grab anything by my bedroom door even people
😂
I adopted a tuxedo cat a few days ago 🤗🤗
Great! :)
Me too!
It was dangerous so we decided to put her inside our house. she has her own world, she doesn't needy, doesn't need petting and cuddles, confident ( she likes to sit and sleep in the center of the room), very social, doesn't scare of other cats, knows the concept hide and seek almost like dogs. and she is just turn 6 months old now and already smarter than the older cats.
thanks for sharing this with us :)
As a Tuxedo Cat owner these are True about them, Her name Is Mishu, And Omg she Is the best Cat I will ever have😻
My tux talks to me allll of the time
recently found out about their name because theres a stray tuxedo cat always waiting outside my kitchen. Been feeding him since 2 weeks ago
Is he still alive???
@@datapatch7381 yes, hes been sleeping on my washing machine outside ever since then and would occasionally enter the house from time to time 🤣
The cat has chosen you. Take care of it. Imagine it as a God. It just may be your personal God from God.
I have owned a few cats over my lifetime they were mostly loners but when I finally got a tuxedo cat I immediately noticed a difference My Tuxedo cat is the most loving, kind and affectionate cat I've had in my lifetime.
Me and my kids we are in love of our Tuxedo. His 10 months old, quiet , clean and very lovely cat.
So glad for you!
My tuxedo cat is the best
I have a brown tabby cat named Hershey, and a Russian blue cat named Shadow, and sometimes I like to refer to Hershey as Figaro because they are both playful and cuddly, and Shadow as Sylvester because both their names start with "S".
I have a Tuxedo boy and a Bengal boy! They are both very smart and insanely sweet :) My Tuxedo boy can't jump as high but both want food all the time if they aren't hunting for cuddles.
How sweet! Thank you for letting us know :)
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos Thank you! I'm glad I found your channel!
I'm also glad you found it :)
0:03 the phantom of the opera called. He is missing his cat.
I'm think of getting a tuxedo cat by the way. I want a cat that like a dog almost. This will be my first cat ever. 🙌
I just got a tuxedo cat, smartest pet I’ve ever had. She learned how to play fetch within a day
My beautiful tuxie is a very anxious and needy kitty....she really gets nervous when it rains....and it rains ALOT in Charlotte, NC!!
I'm really glad I found Henry I truly believe we we're meant to find eachother, he's my 3rd cat and my favourite I've ever owned 🥰
So here's to Tuxedo Cat's the most intelligent and mischievous cat's you'll ever meet!
Thanks for sharing, I'm glad you found each other. Henry is awesome!
My cat still makes me worship her. Glad she adopted me
One of my family’s cats was a cow cat (mostly white with two big black spots on her back, a tiny black spot on her back paw, and a fully black tail).
I have been feeding a feral tuxedo cat for a few months now and he now comes to sleep in my room during the winter.
I have a Tuxedo Ragamuffin. She is sweet and smart. I've had her since 2010, she's not had any health issues and is very low maintenance.
Don’t know if she’s still alive, but if so, she’d be at least 16 years old.
we got lucky when we rescued a Tuxedo later named Rocky,he was a week to two weeks old at that time.
I have tuxedo cat name is bolong im very love him 😍
Great :). That's so nice :)

Thanks a lot :). I appreciate it :)
Some more famous tuxedo cats include:
- Penelope Pussycat (also from Looney Tunes, the cat who is always being chased by Pepe Le Pew)
- Pussyfoot (also from Looney Tunes, a cute kitten who befriends a bulldog)
- Tom (from Tom and Jerry, a unique tuxedo cat as he's grey instead of black)
- Blaze the Cat (from Sonic the Hedgehog, she's also another unique tuxie since she's purple)
- Mittens (from Bolt)
- Kitty Softpaws (from the Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots)
great, thanks for letting me know :)
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos Not a problem. :) Also, with the belief that tuxedo cats have magical powers, that can be seen in Blaze, because she possesses fire powers and can harness the Sol Emeralds of her dimension to transform into her super form Burning Blaze. ;)
Are they heavy shedders ?
Very informative. Thank you, BMO!
My aunt has a tuxedo cat. She was going to name him Shefu, but changed her mind and just named him Tux...
Great :)
I've had a lot of cats in my 62 years. I must say that my tuxedo cat is probably the smartest. If she wants something such as food or if she want the bedroom door opened she will not leave you a lone until you follow her.
I have a tuxedo! Nobody wanted him because he was so scared and afraid, but i wanted him!
That's so sweet :)
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos :D thank you!
Tuxedo is really very clever cat, got 1 in my community, just downstair. Taking lift just like us, to certain households for his foods...
I had a black and white kitten . She was very intelligent , smart , clean and tidy, energetic ,with sweet voice . She knows her name well. I will give her100 out of 100 marks. Unfortunately ,she leave us on 4th April 2021 😔
So so sorry for your loss :((
My parents had a cute tuxedo cat named BC.
Glad you found something new :)
last year i got a cat and i was very lucky because my cat was the only tuxedo cat from the litter
Beautiful Tuxedo cat
I have a very weird urge to pet a tuxedo cat
My Tuxie has a perfect mustache. Love him so much
My Timmy is a true Tuxedo Kitty, very handsome, plus he has extra toes, I call them thumbs.
Fat Louie from "Princess Diaries" and "Princess Diaries 2"! Such cute cats!
I have a tuxedo cat.His name is Akki.He is very naughty and very lazy, but he loves playing with me.
Great :)
Her nickname is also Rattles, because she ate a dead rattlesnake since she was a stray who was starving, 8 months old kitty cat and I’m happy to care for her
I have a tuxedo cat and she’s scarily smart because she can unlock and open doors and she knows way more tricks than all of the dogs I’ve had.
Don't get me wrong, I love tuxedo cats, I have a gorgeous tuxedo tabby myself! But I don't think their coat pattern dictates what kind of personality they have, that's normally down to what breed they are! 😺
my tuxedo kitten is named Nico & he’s so attached to me. Love him w everything 🖤🖤🕶😩.
That's so sweet :)
I have a grey tuxedo cat. He has crooked lil grey mustache. He’s so pretty and such a loving sweet kitty
I have that kind of cat and its name is Luna we just think it fits
My tux cat is also named Luna lol
I would like to add Mr. Mistoffelees to your list of famous tuxies. He’s the magical cat from the Broadway musical Cats. My cat is a total Mistoffelees too; he’s very good at apparating from no where, and disapparating with a glance.
He also reads minds.
I have 1 tuxedo cat, he's loving and quite goofy and playful sometimes, i name him Oreo (ori for short) because I think it suits him :)
I wonder where you're from, interesting accent, cute voice :)
Igot two tuxedo cats n one is the one i take care of , he's name is bob n he's amazingly intelligent! Like he even lying down while making the sad face whenever he did smthing wrong 🥺 he also good with bathing n not mad at all
So sweet!
3:12 lol did anyone see the comment that says "they just seem super smart because they are always so smartly dressed"?
I have a tuxedo and his name is Sylvester.
Great :)
One famous person who has a cat is H.P. Lovecraft. I wonder what his cat's name is.
My cat approves!
Great :)
Hi what is the accent of the voice over please? TY!
I have a tuxedo that was born on June 2019. He paws at me like trying to return the pets I give him. I don't think he's very smart though. Gets himself injured quite often.
Soneone plz tell me what the cat they said isnt a tuxedo cat called
