The police here in Kent no longer treat car/bike theft as a crime. Along with house burglary they no longer treat these as crimes. I wonder what the police actually do today?
If the police don’t actually do anything to address these types of crimes the population can genuinely ask why the F#*% are they there at all. Lawfully the police get their power from the consent of the people, if the people have no value for their actions then their authority is undermined.
I had a Honda CBR600F bike stolen in London and I then I found it 3-months later with a changed frame in Bikewise, Vauxhall in their showroom. I called the Police and they eventually found a Datatag in the seat. The bikeshop said you can only prove the seat is yours and nothing else. I went back to complain and they changed their story to say it was sold on commission and said the owner had come to take it back and gave me a bogus address. Police didn't care, DataTag didn't work and although I got paid out my insurance premiums rocketed and I took a haircut on the payout.... nice.
Great looking bike, could you advise on the wheels please? What size rims and brand did you use? And does it make a noticeable difference to handling. My bike handles well on 21 (ideal for dirt) however would like to have a smaller front for more road oriented rides. Thanks and please keep up the great work!
Standard size on motorcycles are usually 17". Those tires are Continental TKC80. Handling will always change if you do any changes from factory standard to custom.
It's absolutely stunning :) Will be picking up my pimped out Scrambler 1200 XE this feb. Question, why did you go for another seat design. Different material on top, seems rougher.. was it an aesthetically driven choice or was it functional? I can imagine a rider sliding away on the leather used previously, and this rougher material holding you into place more..
that particular customer requested a thicker leather this time, he found with the amount of time spent on the bike he needed something a little more durable. Ended up creating the a really nice aesthetic with the grip ridges at the back, another good job from the boys at Viking Motorcycle Seats
Great story. I was wondering what the point of that rear view mirror is? In Germany that would never be road legal, and honestly why would anyone wanna ride like that?
it's funny how the world of bikes work, throw slick tires on a bmx it's still a bmx, throw slicks on a mountain bike it's still a mountain bike, Rig some dirt bike tires onto a road motorbike bike and it suddenly becomes a dirt bike lol . Congrats on getting it back
You would have thought these successful enterprise's could be incorporated into modern policing? Imagine the box ticking the met would get back in return!

I'm pretty sure that the UK not only has orders to not do much, but they also don't have the resources. London police has been continuously defunded for almost a decade now. The "people in charge" don't want London to be a safe city to live in.
@ Unless, of course, the police need to close a business that is contravening the ridiculous coronavirus diktats, in which case they have 17 officers at their disposal.
