Despite what people say, this was a good show. Definitely needs improvement. My main issue with all the new animes are the damn names and how they only do 12 episodes per season. I remember animes back then were more committed and did double the episodes. That's why animes like this feel half arsed. It's like they're testing the waters instead of putting in actual work and thought.
enjoyed this series a decent bit but it was pretty doo doo. lack of chemistry between the characters outside of Ray, really half-baked character arcs, similarly half-baked magic system. animation quality wasn't even my main problem with the show. plus kinda glossing over the fact that Carol is a legit SO??? i love Lydia tho so id probably watch s2.
What was strange to me is that they kept boasting about how strong Ray is… but every single feat other characters have done were far more impressive. Only thing powerful I’ve seen Ray do in the entire show was in a flashback.
@@TheNecroFisherman As a concept, magic dispel is pretty strong stuff, especially if the opponent depends on it. Combined with ability to use your own magic, it is like having a gun, while the opponent has only a sword. Reminds Asta from "Black clover".

looking at this clip... I still cannot get behind it. The animation is not up to Par to what they need to portray, blocky at times. It hurts to watch, and I am not saying bad about the story or the characters, if the animation was a bit higher in quality, I could watch, but I cannot. I do hop those that can enjoy this can, I certainly not one of them.
This anime is straight garbage, I sincerely tried to watch it but I had to stop when ray got done training that girl for the tournament. The most interesting thing about this anime is when he’s shirtless working out with the boys.
