I just discovered this album. Only LP that I've never heard before, for whatever reason. It's so different... and it just crushes me. Hits hard, makes me sad. It really sounds like a "goodbye letter" from Chester 😢. Nevertheless, I ❤ it. It's beautiful.
Linkin Park has been my life soundtrack since my wife was diagnosed with cancer. It displayed all my emotions then and now. Now grief and depression now I know how it feels thru its words. So please everyone who is listening. Get help out there. Therapy ,friends and family will help you find a better place. I know. I'm trying. Bless you all. 🙏
I'm a dude in my 30's, and I have every good reason in the world to be happy, i'm married to an amazing woman, own my own home etc etc. but after 6 years of near constant depression kicking my ass every day, it honestly gets harder and harder to find reasons to carry on. I take medication every day, I go to therapy, I try and work on myself constantly and little seems to help. That said just hearing Chester's voice gives me a sense of comfort, it's almost like a hand on my shoulder letting me know somehow everythings going to be okay.

I remember that dark day. I went to another country to collect money for the surgery. Before I got there, my employer quit. I was looking for a new job to be able to return to the country. That day my glasses broke without which I can hardly see anything, when I reached for the phone, I saw the news about Chester. It broke me more than my fate. I was on the hour-long bus, absent. I remember saying "he's just a singer". For me, it was someone close to me, someone, who saved me from suicide many times. I made a promise to myself then that I would never do it. That I will be strong, that I will do it for the LP. It helps to this day. #MakeChesterProud

Growing up with divorced parents, one father is a murderer, the other is a psychopath, questioning my own purpose or reason for being here, mother is set to drink herself to death, friends are all gone. Either betrayed or moved away. Sometimes life really doesn't seem like it's worth it. One slap in the face after another. But finding Linkin Park in Jr high turned all that around. Hybrid Theory and Metorea saved my life.....really REALLY wish I could have givin that back to you Chester. You saved my life. Wish we could have saved yours. Love you guys

Idk why so many people hate this album, maybe they are just a bunch of fricks that were angry at LP because the songs from this album aren't metal-y. This album packs so much emotions in the lyrics of the songs, honestly I love it just as much as I love the other albums
I struggle with this album a lot, I have to admit. I only listened to this album no more than 5 times. Just the actual track list names says it all. Nobody can save me, sharp edges, one more light, halfway right, sorry for now. Heavy, Talking to Myself Battle of Symphony, invisible, good, goodbye. I can make a poem with all this tracklist names. Sharp edges take time, For here I am talking to myself, Feeling the battle symphony, Needing to make myself invisible, Because I am sorry for leaving you all behind, It's heavy on my shoulders, I've been halfway right only, The other half left with one more light, Now I say good, Goodbye. It kind of feels like Chester is really saying Goodbye. It's sad, tragic. That's why I cannot listen to this album a lot. It is like Chester is telling the fans this is going to be it. Maybe not intentional but that's what it seems to me.

It still hurts, I miss him everyday. People dont understand what Linkin Park, What Chester did for generations of us. Plagued with mental illness, he touched us, gave his voice to the voiceless and made us feel heard. Someone says I was sad too when I heard of his passing. He didn't pass away, he suffered so much he took his own suffering and ended it. I'm not sad, I'm devastated! I still cry, a lot. There is an unprecedented void, a hole inside that can never be filled from Chester's place where he resided and lived rent free in my mind, my heart and soul. I can actually say that I'm one step closer to edge... but I'm already broken. 😞

I know the only people who were truly here for this album in 2017 were the true diehard LP fans. But this is seriously my favorite of all their albums! The lyrics and messages behind every song and how the songs are all clearly about mental health...in retrospect sting a lot more but the songs are all just so good and so powerful. This album does not and likely never will get the respect it deserves. Cannot believe we still live in a world without chester 😢

After Chester was gone I felt so connected to this album in so many ways with my many battles with depression and anxiety and trying to live a happy life. Now, my fiance recently committed suicide and I feel like he felt this album deeper than I realized. I love this album more than any of their others and even more so now that I connect it to my love. RIP to all the good souls who took their lives before they were supposed to leave us ❤️
Happened to me with the last Album from "Chris Cornell" - HIGHER TRUST !! Both, very good friends, and get out from Live in the same Year . Chester on the Birthday from Cornell . I dont want say "more" . Its tragic and painfully . And be carefull, not dig deeper in this "rabbithole".
I struggle with depression and I hear so much pain and loneliness in all the album. The music could be light and pop-like but the lyrics are so dark in my opinion... For me, it's farewell letter of Chester and noone prove me I'm wrong. Ironically, this album is one of few things which can comfort me in my darkest days when nothing's working. How is it possible to miss someone you've never had a conversation with as much as I do? I was in high school when they debuted and their music resonated with something within me. Every new album came out at just the right time to express how I was handling life or how I wanted to handle it. It's fitting this album is so different from their first one, who stays the same after 17 years? Similar issues, but the wisdom inside to view them differently, handle them differently. At its core, all of their albums are still Linkin Park ❤🩹
This album has a bitter sweet feeling, that totally suits the tragic end this band had, and fits as the closing album for such a great discography...Whole album sounds like a journey is coming to an end

This is one of the most underrated and under played albums in the world. Everyone focuses on all the angry stuff, but this stuff is so mellow wand just really nice sounding for Linkin Park, really showing they have even more talent than what they put into the rest of their albums. Album is still azz. I mean look at all the demos from LPU, all the releases and look at what they do live. This is the worst of the worst. They basically are writing about the same thing. The sound is different but it's the same concept of you will. At least A thousand suns was more of a like Great full and happy album. This is just the weakest and lamest. The signs were there about Chester. He has never disses a fan ever in all his career, and no one noticed 😖. They could have make a Fold album a full on Rap album or a Classical album . If there's one thing this album & post traumatic bring out it's how truly deeply Chester's suicide affected them all. The deeper message though that it describes is that there will always be those who care for you. No matter how alone or isolated you may feel. Don't try to bury your problems/feelings because you think no one does. Cause there are far more people who hold you close than you could ever realize. No matter what it seems like. You just have to find those people.

But one terrible day, I came home and found out the terrible news. We were all crying that day. After that, we just didn't have the energy to listen to Linkink Park. Only yesterday my father and I decided to listen to these songs. Now knowing from the translation I hear from quite differently. This song emphasises the importance of therapy and reaching out for help when you feel drowned...and also to those who are doing fine to be aware of your loved ones or whover you care a lot for as this phrase states: "We tend to hurt those who are closer to us the most". Heads up, unhealthy neural conections are built up in a way your head tells you there is no way around thanks to trauma, but correcting everything through therapy and support is the way to heal most of this...we have to watch over those who need the light of hope, be mental health protectors ourselves even though we ain't therapists...there is only trying, letting those who need help run away is never an option. I have saved people thanks to this awareness...you all can be unknown heros/heroines, try your best...

Such a powerful album. I know LP got a lot of flak when this album was initially released but I embraced it since day #1 and I'm so glad I did. It has a whole new meaning since CB passed but still hits the spot like returning home after a long time away.

I was on the hour-long bus, absent. I remember saying "he's just a singer". For me, it was someone close to me, someone, who saved me from suicide many times.
I made a promise to myself then that I would never do it. That I will be strong, that I will do it for the LP.
It helps to this day.

Growing up with divorced parents, one father is a murderer, the other is a psychopath, questioning my own purpose or reason for being here, mother is set to drink herself to death, friends are all gone. Either betrayed or moved away. Sometimes life really doesn't seem like it's worth it. One slap in the face after another. But finding Linkin Park in Jr high turned all that around. Hybrid Theory and Metorea saved my life.....really REALLY wish I could have givin that back to you Chester. You saved my life. Wish we could have saved yours.

Idk why so many people hate this album, maybe they are just a bunch of fricks that were angry at LP because the songs from this album aren't metal-y. This album packs so much emotions in the lyrics of the songs, honestly I love it just as much as I love the other albums
I struggle with this album a lot, I have to admit. I only listened to this album no more than 5 times.

It still hurts, I miss him everyday. People dont understand what Linkin Park, What Chester did for generations of us. Plagued with mental illness, he touched us, gave his voice to the voiceless and made us feel heard. Someone says I was sad too when I heard of his passing. He didn't pass away, he suffered so much he took his own suffering and ended it. I'm not sad, I'm devastated! I still cry, a lot. There is an unprecedented void, a hole inside that can never be filled from Chester's place where he resided and lived rent free in my mind, my heart and soul.
I can actually say that I'm one step closer to edge... but I'm already broken. 😞

I know the only people who were truly here for this album in 2017 were the true diehard LP fans.
But this is seriously my favorite of all their albums! The lyrics and messages behind every song and how the songs are all clearly about mental health...in retrospect sting a lot more but the songs are all just so good and so powerful. This album does not and likely never will get the respect it deserves. Cannot believe we still live in a world without chester 😢

After Chester was gone I felt so connected to this album in so many ways with my many battles with depression and anxiety and trying to live a happy life. Now, my fiance recently committed suicide and I feel like he felt this album deeper than I realized. I love this album more than any of their others and even more so now that I connect it to my love. RIP to all the good souls who took their lives before they were supposed to leave us ❤️

I struggle with depression and I hear so much pain and loneliness in all the album. The music could be light and pop-like but the lyrics are so dark in my opinion... For me, it's farewell letter of Chester and noone prove me I'm wrong.
Ironically, this album is one of few things which can comfort me in my darkest days when nothing's working.
I feel so sorry Chester's light did go out. Despite this I can understand how bad he could feel. I always will remember about him [*]

How is it possible to miss someone you've never had a conversation with as much as I do?
I was in high school when they debuted and their music resonated with something within me. Every new album came out at just the right time to express how I was handling life or how I wanted to handle it.
It's fitting this album is so different from their first one, who stays the same after 17 years? Similar issues, but the wisdom inside to view them differently, handle them differently. At its core, all of their albums are still Linkin Park ❤🩹

I didnt understood the power of this album in the time it released. There was a lot of anger and sadness rolling out...now, all those years after, years that seem ages in memories, im able to feel it, and its amazing.

This is one of the most underrated and under played albums in the world. Everyone focuses on all the angry stuff, but this stuff is so mellow wand just really nice sounding for Linkin Park, really showing they have even more talent than what they put into the rest of their albums. RIP Chester, wish I could've watched you sing some of these live :(

Album is still azz. I mean look at all the demos from LPU, all the releases and look at what they do live. This is the worst of the worst. They basically are writing about the same thing. The sound is different but it's the same concept of you will. At least A thousand suns was more of a like Great full and happy album. This is just the weakest and lamest. The signs were there about Chester. He has never disses a fan ever in all his career, and no one noticed 😖.

If there's one thing this album & post traumatic bring out it's how truly deeply Chester's suicide affected them all. The deeper message though that it describes is that there will always be those who care for you. No matter how alone or isolated you may feel. Don't try to bury your problems/feelings because you think no one does. Cause there are far more people who hold you close than you could ever realize. No matter what it seems like. You just have to find those people.

I listened to these songs as a 5-6-year-old girl. I listened with my parents because they were their fans.
But one terrible day, I came home and found out the terrible news. We were all crying that day. After that, we just didn't have the energy to listen to Linkink Park.
Only yesterday my father and I decided to listen to these songs. Now knowing from the translation I hear from quite differently. I am very glad that since childhood I was taught to listen to masterpieces.

This song emphasises the importance of therapy and reaching out for help when you feel drowned...and also to those who are doing fine to be aware of your loved ones or whover you care a lot for as this phrase states: "We tend to hurt those who are closer to us the most".
Heads up, unhealthy neural conections are built up in a way your head tells you there is no way around thanks to trauma, but correcting everything through therapy and support is the way to heal most of this...we have to watch over those who need the light of hope, be mental health protectors ourselves even though we ain't therapists...there is only trying, letting those who need help run away is never an option.
I have saved people thanks to this awareness...you all can be unknown heros/heroines, try your best...

Such a powerful album. I know LP got a lot of flak when this album was initially released but I embraced it since day #1 and I'm so glad I did. It has a whole new meaning since CB passed but still hits the spot like returning home after a long time away.
