Having since 18 years an 180sx. Was my first car back in the days. Still have it of course. 2 years ago i bought my childhood dream car, an mr2 spyder in blue. Thought i would keep it for some years mabye. But oh boy, this car makes more fun to drive with the stock 1zz than my 180sx with 340hp. If i would decide which car to sell, it would not be the mr2. 2001 preface with facelift side vents, rear inserts, maxton front lip and a hardtop (400 bucks here in germany). What i wanted to say in the end, a car with more horsepower does not mean more fun to drive. Ps: i also thought sometimes for an real upgrade for my 180sx or mr2 and cam to one car, which would be the latest lotus exige. (But too expensive here in germany)
Mine blew up about a month ago lol I'm just saving up for a 2ZZ swap now. Literally just took a turn a bit too hard, and then what do you know, straighten out the wheel and I have rod knock.
@@xclear1874 same here, well i hope its not rod knock but seems like it, with the mechanics right now, might put another 1zz and turbo it rather than a 2zz as I don't usually go high enough rpm to get the lift that the 2zz is known for
@@gobanj3535 I was strongly between the two quite honestly but after pricing out a good quality 1ZZ and turbo kit at about $1300-$1800 for a 1ZZ and $1900 on the cheap end for a turbo kit plus an ECU and a tune and all that I just decided a 2ZZ swap would possibly be a lot less expensive. Just something to keep in mind although a 1ZZ turbo is sick! haha
A GTR definitely seems like you, hope we can see that soon.
There was a k20 turbo mr2 spyder that had 600+hp. That will smoke a stock GTR
