Saz didnt orginate from turkey. Turks were around just about 100 years ago, (turkic tribes) mongolia. Saz originated from the middle east. Persia to be specific. Music is deepy rooted and came from Empires that have existed for 1000 of years. Turks are farely new, so no. Sorry saz is technically not a turkish instrument. Tho Turks are probably the best at playing this instrument.
