Even if I get dementia I will NEVER forget the feeling of being at a Dead show... It's heart and soul.
Amen
Amen!
❤😢😮😅😊❤❤❤❤My Mom has dementia as well. I hope they stay happy in their overworked minds😮❤❤❤❤L Ya Happy Daze to U and your Mom. ❤
The problem is that once you really ‘get’ the Dead it spoils you for most other music. What an awesome problem to have!
You said it!!! Keeps me up nights 👍🏾
No going back once you "get it". ⚡️💀🥀
Sheez! So glad I wasn't infected.
Many a great tune, many a great groove but I have to be in the right mood beyond that, otherwise no.
How about it can also do the complete opposite as well. When you hear Turn on Your Love Light, for example, you should realize it’s Bobby Blue Bland being covered and appreciate the Blues.
Well said. It was such a good "problem" to have that I didn't even realize I had it until 20 years had passed! 😅 ... And I still don't care! ♥️⚡
Trippin' hard on some tasty shrooms while watching this on a 90 inch screen. Thank you! Subscription added!
😅
Hun'h ? How can you be in my head when 's ' My trip, my dawg?
@Shaman196
1-2 grams is my normal dose. I did the "heroic dose" twice last year. Even with my tolerance, it's a harrowing trip. I don't recommend it for novices or first-timers. I put it in a blender with some spicy V8 juice because I can't imagine chewing on 5g.
@Shaman196
I've been eating them since 1976, when I'd mix them up with weed and booze. I don't adulterate their effects at all as a 63 year old. Much better that way.
I've had some grand and frightening hallucinations on 5-6g, I can't imagine what 10g would be like. I will say that the week after a heroic dose is always a very good week for me, though.
@Shaman196
You're living up to your name, and may be inspiring me to go deeper than I've been before. Have you ever done the heroic dose with sensory deprivation?
Had a buddy who had hundreds of live cassettes his sister recorded. Each show different and unique. We'd drink and smoke while enjoying a great show every time. God bless those special years.
What a beautiful memory to cherish. ✌🏻
Bravo, sister!
One of the things I've learned to enjoy with this band. Watched a video of some guy ranking Grateful Deads albums and felt a bit so so when I realized that half of them were just live albums. Till you actually get the albums and realize that basically 98% of each live album consist of unique material rather than the same hits over and over again.
Why did you stopped?
I also recorded many shows, man I miss going to shows.
Every time I hear Jerry's voice, I'm instantly happy, like a switch flips on
you love him
Wow! Blissed-out, joyful vibes. I’m soooo grateful to be a Deadhead! Peace to all the brothers and sisters out there!
Have a peaceful night bro! Iam always stil amazed at meeting and finding new Deadhead friends wherever I wonder! It's a great big Wonderful World out there , you just have to open enough to search it out! Deadheads are everywhere! Greatful!!
When i listen to live concerts of the dead … my mind says Jerry’s still here with us ❤
When I came home from Iraq in 1991 I was batshit crazy. My Lil brother took me to see the dead at the omni in Atlanta, thank you phatz. Forever gratefull
Thank you for your service. Welcome back.
Forever grateful to jerry
Mannnnn you still crazy! haha
-Phatz
Had to be crazy to live w/ u. Just a different kind now. Military flash backs sux, dead flash backs are welcome anytime, widespread panic flash backs are great to. (~)=}
I was at that show
La. La La
Love this music
Being 73 does have its advantages
All the wonderful music 🎶!!!!!
so does 75
And 68, now retired I am going back and learning to play all those great tunes like this on my guitar. Sitting around with old geezers making great music, perfect retirement.
What? I can’t hear you. Blew out my hearing back in the 70’s….
Dead shows from teenagers to grandparents & everything in between amen I’m 54 saw them the 1st time at 17 I think which would be 87 wow
No matter what was going on in my life the Dead always brought me back to the 'center'.. I'm so grateful to have shared my life with theirs. Thanks
Oh yes . For me too my Greatful Dead friend
Same
Totally agree, it's been a long year for me and Dead is currently bringing me back to center. Super grateful
The Dead are never really dead as long as we love ♥️ their music 🌀🌞
You could literally frame any image from this entire video. Beautiful.
The Dead are timeless to me. No matter when or where life finds me the Dead are there with a relevant tune. When music is made for the sake of fame and fortune it just lacks the joie de vivre that these folks brought…every. single. time. Were they technical masters of their instruments? Maybe…maybe not but they were absolute masters of their craft. Thank you, I am the grateful dead.
Oh yea brother . your so right
Big Joe Williams first recorded it in 1935, Tampa Red first covered it in 1936, others who recorded it included Lightin Hopkins in 1947, John Lee Hooker in 1949, Big Bill Broonzy in 1952, Muddy Waters in 1952. In 1964 the group Them with a 19yr. old singer named Van Morrison did a cover that sent it to #1 in the UK, on this version a 20yr. old studio session guitarist named Jimmy Page was brought in to play the guitar lead(note: the B - side of this record was 'Gloria' as in 'G - L - O- R - I - A' with Page on guitar)Also in 1964 The Animals recorded their version, very faithful to Them's cover. Many artist from A - to - Z have covered this song including Led Zeppelin, but never recorded on an album. Last noted version was recorded by Areosmith in 2004. 'Baby Please Don't Go' is one of those old blues standards that has lasted the test of time. Thank You Big Joe 🙏(NOTE: This comment does not belong with this Grateful Dead video, mistake on my part 🤷)
SORRY THIS POST COMMENT BELONGS ELSEWHERE ON ANOTHER VIDEO, 'Baby Please Don't Go'.But with said the Dead did cover it 'live' in concert. 💀🎸🕶️
@@matthewblanchard9301wrong video or not, I learned something new, cheers
Thank you for sharing all that great info man!
Cliff Carlisle played it in the 30s not sure if it's a folk song or if he wrote it
That light, delicate guitar from 0:30 to 0:40 is sublime.
I have been to over 50 Dead concerts all over the U.S, always stoned of corse or tripping, and each and every show was the best i ever seen. Dead head since late 60,s this HIPPY lived to cruse the Road Runner or bike to another Dead concert, no matter where it was at, coast to coast and in between. I would like to see Jerry and the whole groups faces carved on Mount Rushmore so our children and generations to come might understand what it was like to be right infront of them, back stage or at the end row with 450,000 for 3 days at a concert. HUGE, MIND BLOWING.
The Dead always put me in that mood I like being in.
The Tribe is multigenerational. And the music never stops ✋️.
Never
its like one big song!
This was fire visuals were great everything is just moving fast but slow wow 😭💯
Took me 50 years to get it, but I got it!
Never heard this song before tonight, but I have learned when I feel bad to not go down the road. I don't want others to see me that way. ✌️
GREAT JOB !
CHEERS FROM BRAZIL !
I've listened this song like 100 times this summer and just can't get enough of those catchy guitars and soothing vocals!
Excellent video...nothing nowadays like this video
Glad you liked it!
@@jambandvideos It’s AI, try animating a proper video!
@tildencats9523Yeah and it’s shit!! Man I hate AI
Bahahahaha best comment ever someone thinking an artist did this video and didn't just enter some prompts
Sometimes we try our best and are totally misunderstood . Sometimes we intend to help but fail miserably. A gal had parked facing down a steep hill . She asked me for help . Another car had parked close in front. Her car was a stick shift . I told her "The shifting pattern had faded and some manufacturers put the reverse where 1st gear normally is" . "Are you sure I am in reverse?". "Yes" she said. .. Listening to "going down the Road feeling bad" was all I could do to feel better; besides helping pay for damages.
Huh? I'm legitimately interested in what you were trying to get across, but damn that was the most confusingly written and worded anecdote I have ever read. So just to clarify, she asked if you were sure that she was in reverse, and then also said "yes"... thus answering her own question? OR did you mean that she asked you if you were sure she was in reverse, and then YOU said "yes"? And then how did it go from establishing that she was indeed in reverse, to you having to make yourself feel better; let alone needing to "pay for damages"? You never revealed what happened. Like why did you need to try to feel better? And what even caused these damages, and why would you need to help pay for them. Not trying to sound like a jerk, I just feel you may have left some crucial details out of your story.
I believe he tried pulling her car out , and accidentally hit another vehicle becuase she mistakenly told him the wrong gear lol
@@beezyflippins She asked me to drive her car out of the parking space.. It was slightly difficult being a stck shift facing downhill ,with another car right in front. Stickshifts roll when clutch is in . To not roll forward into other car you gotta clutch let go of brake gas it and let go of clutch. If you don't give it enough gas to climb the hill in reverse the engine will stall. If you don't do it fast enough you'll roll into car in front. I gassed it and let go of the clutch, but instead of reversing up the hill, I went forward with power into car ahead. She was scared of rolling forward. I not only rolled forward ,but had the power of the engine behind me. See we only have two feet , but you gotta work the clutch gas and break correctly before gravity pulls you down hill. Yes there is a hand break that can be used but anyway I went down the road feeling bad. But I felt better hearing a song about someone else going down the road feeling bad.
Next time take off shoes use for chocks both front. Been in similar 😅
Right on
Love this psychedelic video of a favourite track that I play acoustically 🎶🎙🎸
The dead don't die we just get more funky😁👍👍

On a sad note, in 1988 I lost the love of my life in an accident. When I ejected the cassette from the deck in the wrecked pickup, my live copy of this song had been playing at that fateful moment.
So sorry for the loss of your loved one friend. So sorry indeed. Much peace and love to you.
Wow sorry about that but u can still connect with this God Bless U
My heart breaks with you. Great pain in my life as well.
Hope you're OK.
Maybe your loved one is around everytime this song is on...
If you could imagine 50 acres of humans on a friendly, loving vibe it’s at that moment your probably at an outdoor dead concert,
Awesome work on the visuals Jim!
Glad you like them!
This is incredible!!
Outstanding

Double side x
I think I'm falling in love with my algorithms! I found an old 76 show that was filmed in black and white and got to spend the afternoon with that! Now those darned old algorithms have sent me this! And I see they have discovered my new medication! Whoever thought taking less would be better!!
I LOVE the Dead! They changed my life forever and for that I am Grateful!
Jerry is the pied piper to my soul
that was FABULOUS! Great job doing the animation. ✌
The bus came by and I got on. And I'm sure glad I did.
Thank you I felt like I was frying
Watched this completely sober and had a flashback to my first trip in 10th grade. Super cool imagery!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So cool. Thank brother. My hippie self is smiling. 😊
Not a lot of songs actually make me feel happy. But this one does it for me. Thank you Grateful Dead the drums are amazing.
Yes that drummer is at his peak..that machinegun drumming at the frankfurt 1972 show..in this song is unique.😂👍
That was really cool. I feel like I didn't decide to stay sober this weekend after all. Well, I didn't but you know what I mean. Lol.
Breathtakingly beautiful background to some good old rock and roll. Takes you back to the good old days
Hella good graphics on this one
I do not have words for how much I enjoyed this. Thank You. 🌅
I picked a random GDTRFB to jam a bit too. Had to look at the date was like god damn what is this version.
That was absolutely the best music video I have ever seen. Looks like a wonderful orange sunshine trip to me. Wonderful!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
I have checked out your other videos. All are masterpieces. Back in the 70’s I indulged in a few good trips. The visual changes are exactly what your mind is seeing. Keep em’ coming brother

A Dead Concert is something special. It's not like any other concert. You just have to be there.
💯
Let’s not forget about Shakedown-just gotta poke around!
nice
I wish I could explain or understand what happens when I listen to the dead sometimes. It’s like there a thing happening that I can’t fully grasp the concept of. At a live show I get it again tho. Man this video and the song brought me back around again. Thanks!
My favorite gdtrfb is 8/2/76 Hartford…I like this one ty ⚡️🐻
Fantástico
Visuals got the assignment, and passed. Not feeling too bad. Miss you Jerry!
I was never a dead head, but I can say that they were one of the best bands I ever saw at London arena Wembley. Awesome Scotland UK.
I turned on so many people only too meet em again and have them say thanks for the doses and the music. Does my heart good knowing I led them down the path of unlimited Devotion.😃😇☺️😄😃😀😅
I love seeing live be dead stuff but almost never listen to music t at home anymore. This is great
LOL I'm 70 this year and have been their fan since 1969. I don't know why I never saw your videos before, but this was amazing! What a talent. All I can say is WHEW! @@jambandvideoshow do you make them?
I used to listen to these guys and certain tapes but forget but love these visualizers 😂
Psychedelics and this.. cheese and wine .. Bravo 🙌🏼
So glad for all the times I saw the Dead live as a kid in the free-range '70s before Square Society got the upper hand in the '80s.
Gate keepers suck ! They were always good on the worst night no matter when. If we could've we would've and for sure should've ❤
THES VISUALS ARE SO MUCH LIKE MY VISUALS BACK IB THE EARLY 70"S. REALLY. WOW
Its not about drugs real heads will till you its about the music the complexity of it 😊
What a wonderful song and such a cool video! Indeed, the mood has become much better!👍👍😉🎶🎸🍄🍄🍄💕🙏🙋♂️
That was a whole new experience!!!!!
Lots to see and hear, here. Love it;)
Had the privilege of seeing Jerry at Highgate Vermont 1994? Bob Dylan Open. Before he passed
😂
That's awesome! I got to see them play with Dylan, at RFK Stadium, same tour. I was fifteen years old, and hitchhiked to DC, from New England, because I was bored & broke. Didn't really know much more than Casey Jones, and Truckin', till after that show. Blew my mind, I only wish I started my journey earlier in life, then again, hitching a ride as a pre-teen or younger, would have been even more risky than I would have been comfortable with.😅🎶
Excellent thank you
