On hole #5 Simon was channeling his inner Big Jerm when he was talking about the long putt.... hahaha!
Luke's version of longest putt is really just "who got it in the basket first". Like you could see you're 100 feet out from the next closest competitor and just slowly pitch your way up to their disc until you're a foot behind them, and then try and make that putt. These things are all about fun, but they're playing for money too, they shouldn't have dumb rules. Hope someone intentionally exploits that sometime to make fun of this lol

@@dalcowboiz But that wouldn't fly here. Luke made that very clear. Eagle gave his first putt an "honest bid". That's why the comeback putt was considered legit. If someone tried to do what you're saying, it wouldn't count.

Mannnn this series is some of the best disc golf content available. I'm just gonna list the things I love about them. You get aggressive golf, cash prizes, suspense every hole, dogs, razzing, more time with pros speaking on camera, and every now and then boom Luke runs into a random other pro, here's Albert Tamm! Its like a little safari and we don't know what we're gonna get in terms of random pro sightings in the background.
But honestly, Luke Humphries is on the Mt. Rushmore of "on-camera" disc golf personalities. He's so smooth with it, great attitude, great ability to steer the conversation for some of the pros who are weaker on camera. He does great commentary on tourney round videos as well. Just great job man, keep it up. I don't think this Skins series would have blown up like it did without Luke (and in large part KJUSA, too. He's a fixture on this series and should be.)

I agree with Simon on hole 5. How does Eagle win $100 with a comebacker par putt. Its 100% the same as throwing OB on a long drive. You don't reward that, how can you reward missing the first long putt and having a long comebacker!? Logic is flawed Luke sorry.
Yeah it wasn't even Eagle's turn. Kyle should be shooting 2 to clinch the skin and the hole should end. Not a big deal, but the logic is flawed behind it and Luke even said "if everyone misses their putt" to Tristan after he commented that Kyle was out of the longest putt running with his park job. But I guess he forgot what he said when Eagle smashed it from 50 lol.
It's not the same at all! You don't need to win or tie the hole to win longest drive, why should you need to win or tie on longest putt?
@@Ben-wp4ft And yes it was Eagles turn, he was farthest from the basket. Kyle doesn't get to putt simply because everyone else already did.
@@FormerAmericanIdol watch more skins and tell me how many times a player takes his 3rd shot when the hole is clinched on a tap in for 2. Eagle had more chances because he misses the furthest? Legit shot or not, the hole ends when everyone has had a chance for 2 and someone makes it. Every time on skins this is the case except now because disc dot sponsored the competition and they were not prepared for this scenario as it is a little bit of a head scratcher. I love eagle, but I just don't get the logic here. Everyone shoots 2 before anyone has a chance at 3 on a par 3 skins match. Once the only 2 clinches, it's over. If Kyle misses also, then Eagle would have another shot, but he made it.

long putt should be in play over the entire round. if you make 100 foot putt on hole one and no beat you you collect after all 18 holes

@@stich21 bruh what are you on about? Kyle should have won since he made the longest birdie putt. If Kyle missed, Eagle would win the money since he had the longest par putt. Any other way makes no sense because it incentivizes people to miss long and get a second try on the way back.

I love Simon's "pettiness"... It's hard for him to think strategically because he just throws. Probably better than anyone in the sport. He has power and control unlike anyone playing, I think. He's going through some learning/growing pains. If he can stay healthy, I think that his best is yet to come.

I have a course in my hometown that is also set up on some sledding hills so constant huge elevation change. I just started playing this year. Any tips for throwing on big elevation up or down? Seems like the downhill holes really amplify any angle mistakes and I have a hard time throwing up hill in general. Thank you for any help.

Long put rule makes no sense. It should be lowest score matters first, then whoever hits the longest put with that score wins the money. So Kyle should have won because he had the only birdie.
