Leicester face Premier League charge for alleged financial breaches

Leicester City are facing a charge for allegedly breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules in their final campaign before they were relegated, Sky Sports News can reveal, meaning they could face a points deduction next season.
It is understood Leicester's accounts covering last season - which will be made public later this month - are expected to show they exceeded the £105m losses permitted over the previous three seasons.

The investigation is still on going. For that many charges that are from years ago chances are it will take a long time for them to look at all of the evidence. People have zero patience.

I'm a toffee but like the Foxes, especially after the title win. This is complete rubbish like ours. These rules are just protecting the rich clubs. You can't tell me that Chelsea are financially stable given their erratic spending, Man City continue to dominate Europe despite their alleged 115 charges.
The Premier League are merely dodging the big clubs to put pressure on them and avoid heavy legal issues. Face them and set a standard.

I dont give care one jot about Man City to be honest, who cares if they inflated some sponsorship deals 10 years ago or whatever, they are all minor charges. And who does punishing Man City benefit? Other big clubs, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd that despite spending millions and millions themselves over the years, don't like Man City muscling in on their trophies and competing with them, and then just doing it much much better (especially compared to Utd who have spent pretty much as much as anyone in world football and consistently failed to deliver). Why the hell should I care about making life better for Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea etc. I much rather see their bitter fans complaining as they get outclassed by City again, who in reality have just done what they have all done for the past 20+ years, spent a lot of money and they have just used it better.

Why is it that there is "no time" to deal with Leicester this season and potential points deduction being only next season, but Everton and Forests charges will be dealt with this season and face potential points deductions this season for the same offence? Surely its cleaner for any points deductions to be implemented at the start of every season, rather than at arbitrary points during the current season - unless your goal is Leicester still get promoted and Everton and Forest get relegated
So despite the fact that Forest and Leicester broke the rules in the same season it’s ok for Forest to be potentially relegated but not for Leicester to be potentially prevented from promotion……..???????? Fair these rules are not.

They've overspent and that has given them an advantage over the clubs chasing them in the Championship. If they get promoted this season that means that at least one team from Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton will miss out on promotion, lose a number of their best players and miss out on over £100 million in Premier League money.

Sick of hearing about FFP/PSR. Football is the only place where wealthy owners are not allowed to invest in a business. So many teams now caught up with it.
Think there should be a mechanism where owners can invest more as long as a tax is paid to help grassroots football and lower leagues

As leeds fan we had 15points deduction in League 1 still got promoted so Leicester should get 5 to 7points deduction rather than do it in Premiership

It could be argued that Leicester have already been punished. The rules meant that last season Everton could have had a points deduction in the same season which would have meant Leicester stayed up but because PL delayed action against Everton until this season Leicester were relegated. I suspect Everton were "too big a club to be relegated" especially with the new stadium being built.
Leicester make me sick, they went into admin years back and wiped off their debts, same as Southampton at the cost of local businesses while the likes of Sheffield Wednesday sucked it up and cleared their debts.

Saints also cleared their debt btw, we didn't leave local businesses out of pocket, no idea where you got that idea from. We only went into admin because we were basically paying the stadium loan, but Markus Liebher bought the club and paid of the debts (as they weren't really that big relative to a football club oif that size).
they've have 200mil+ in sales and spent maybe half that so wheres all the money going, that aint including the revenue of the club itself
